The first thing I've learned after enrolling into senior year is that it's just another extension of high school with hot-blooded and reckless students who seems to be somewhat matured compared to the naivety of high school. The second is that after a month, the politeness and lamb-like timidity that we expressed on the first day cracked and I find myself jamming into Exo together with my newfound friends.

"Ma'am Aleen is here!"

The moment those sentences were completed we find ourselves transforming back into our old selves.

"Just joking!" It was Kyle, our math genius and also a prankster.

"Kyle!"

"Ugh! Kyle what the?!"

Groans and shouts of anger were the reactions of his successful prank, one that his friends who were in the back of the room just steps away from the trash can was, cheered and applauded him.

"Let's just ignore that guy," Jeline says before playing the MV new song that Twice titled 'Dance the night away this month.

They have become addicted with Twice's dance after its popularity boom in the Philippines. After a month of talking to each other, I found that the two of them, Jeline and Pauline, are both dancers and love kpop.

"Nay, do we have an assignment today?" I turn to my right and ask Nay Kris, the mother of our class and is about two years older than me and have a lover as well but it was a girl in the other section.

"Nothing nak"

(AN: Nak is short for anak which means child in Tagalog and Nay is short for Nanay which means mother)

In the corner of my eyes, I saw Espe, short for Esperanza, talking to Gelo. She was an introvert and loves to read, she's really gentle and refined at first but when you get close to her you find that even if her voice is soft and kind you would still be choked back at her counterattack.

"Espe, did Gelo come talk to you again?" I moved to her side, she was in front of me since her surname is the first letter of the alphabet.

She nodded and I wiggled my brows at her which she whined softly. Gelo was close to her, one might say too close and I always knew that there's something in those eyes of his when he looks and talks to her. But of course our sweet and naive Espe didn't know about it and had no idea about his real intentions.

"Eh, I'm just saying" I laughed softly seeing her pout and moved to Alex, her mouth was like a gun which doesn't turn off the moment you fired it off.

"Hey Alex, mind-reading your essay? I'm just gonna take inspiration from it" even with her unending talks she's really good when it comes to writing and is also a sucker for Wattpad like I. That's why the two of us also have a great conversation.

"You better change the words!" She threatened and then cursed off Barra who seems to be talking to her earlier.

After finishing my essay with the help of Alex, I was about to take my phone out when our teacher arrived. The class turned back to tranquility though it was broken at times by the laughter and scolding of our teachers, everything remained the same.

...

I went to my father's grave this afternoon, Friday and there's not much school work to do so I grabbed Eric who just finished their group meeting and took him here.

The first time he arrived there he was solemn and promised to protect me and not make me cry in front of my father's grave. I admit I almost teared up realizing that my father wouldn't be able to know about him, that I wouldn't be able to introduce him to him and experience that feeling.

"Good afternoon, father in law"

"Hey! Be serious!" I slapped his back and turn to my right to avoid seeing an obvious smile.

"What? I'm just greeting my father in law" he said nonchalantly though I could see the mischief in his eyes. I just rolled my eyes and light up a candle at my father's grave.

"Hi dad, schools great, math's not" I laughed at the end. "Mom has been working still even though there's a job that my brothers have taken, you guess it right, it's fishing. Eric and I are here to visit you, maybe I'll visit you again tomorrow with Mom"

It only took us over half an hour coming here so there's nothing worrisome about coming here again.

"Hey, dad- I mean uncle" I glared at him and he continued. "Ange and I are fine, she's just a bit violent-"

"Hey!" I once again put my fist into his shoulder and punch him.

"- But I still like her that way"

"Smooth" I scolded underneath my breath but still like listening to his affectionate words.

The two of us then left after a brief visit, we then go to Angel's burger and ordered the two in one burger and are it.

Everything was satisfactory this month, money was still something we have yet to achieve but happiness is slowly building up.

Fun fact: Ange and Eric's hangout spot is the cemetery, the grave of Ange's father to be exact.

Have a great day everyone and stays safe!
