he evaporated into dust as i screamed in the void, reaching out and grabbing the dark infront of me. i fell to my knees, letting out a painful scream.

"shush. don't cry." a hand met with my chin and lifted my head up. kazuha knelt before me, his ruby eyes met mine. "kazuha.." i whispered, but he pressed his thumb against my lip while still grasping my chin.

"move on. i'm here. i know you want to like me. but you feel guilty." kazuha said peacefully. i looked into his eyes.

my eyes were brimming with tears as i began gasping for breath. suddenly, kazuha began evaporating into dust.

"k-kazu.." i whispered as i reached up to grab his arm, my it quickly evaporated.

"appreciate me. before it's too late." his face evaporated into dust as an unknown wind suddenly came, carrying the dust away.

i jolted awake, panicking.

i felt around, my bedsheet getting crumpled as i began sweating even more than i already was. the air fell heavy as i clasped a hand over my chest, struggling to breathe.

"k-kaz-.."

i stood up, my legs shaking as i fell backwards, leaning against the wall. i felt around the wall as i walked towards the door, quickly swinging it open and trudging down the hallway. tears fell down my cheeks as i panted heavily.

i walked down the stairs towards a balcony. i practically ran towards the railing as i fell against it. i leaned over the railing, letting my tears fall as i quietly sobbed into my arms.

"whatre you doing."

i spun around to see xiao, his arms folded as he glared at me with his bright, amber eyes. i hiccuped as i looked down at my hands.

"you're crying." he said as he stood next to me, admiring the view. i turned around to face the railing, but i kept my eyes on xiao. "no shit." i mumbled as i took a deep breath, patting my hands together as i leaned my forearms against it and looked out over the land.

"talk to him. tell him how you feel." xiao said through gritted teeth. i turned to him slowly. "h-how did you-" xiao cut me off by turning around and walking towards the doorway. "just trust me." he disappeared into the inn as i watched after him, speechless. i leaned against the railing and brought my knees to my chest, wiping my eyes. eventually, my eyes gave into the heaviness as i found myself drifting off once more.
