Chapter 535

Jay's POV: After eating breakfast with Erin and bringing the dishes downstairs, I got concerned as I came back upstairs to see Erin sitting down in bed while rubbing her stomach. "Okay little ones, you need to stay in there as long as possible." Walking over to bed, I went to sit down next to her. "They moving a lot or do you think you are going into labor?" Erin turned to look at me when I said that and shook her head. "No, I don't think that I am going into labor. I should be okay until I am scheduled to deliver in a couple weeks." I agreed with her and rubbed her hand.

"Just remember that we are in this together babe. You need to confide in me when you are stressed. We don't want anything to happen to you." Erin agreed with me. "I pushed it when it came to starting work early didn't I?" I sighed and nodded. "Erin, we both know that you are not taking a real maternity leave. Sure, you are going to take one...but you are just going to work from home with me being your liaison to the team." Erin laughed and agreed with me.

That's when Erin stopped laughing and just got scared. "Oh god." I then got concerned when she said that. "Erin, what's wrong?" Erin then went to sit up a bit and saw that her water broke. "Jay, get me in the bath...fill it up and call your brother and tell him to bring Natalie. Call Antonio, tell him that I am on maternity leave and the case is his." I agreed and nodded. "Okay, let's get you in the bath first!" I then went to grab my phone and went to help her up. Leading her, I was scared out of my mind. Slowly walking to the bath, Erin went to take off her underwear.

"Fill it up with hot water and then go call Natalie." I agreed and then went to fill up the bath a bit for her. "You are keeping your shirt on okay?" Erin agreed and nodded when I said that. Seeing the bath was partially full, I went to help Erin get in before walking away to grab my phone and a picture of Hank that she had on her bedside table. Going to call Will, I came back and went to give Erin the picture. "Here, put this on the edge of the bath." She then looked at me and smiled.

"A picture of Hank." I nodded and smiled. "He's here with us babe! I promise." Leaning down, I smiled as I went to kiss her softly. That's when I got my brother. "Hey man, this urgent? My break is..." I then went to yell. "Get Natalie and make your way to my place. Erin's water broke and we are not going to the hospital. Can you guys come here  and help us with a water birth?" He then got scared and agreed. "Be right there. Can you put me on speaker. I will stay on until I am there." I agreed and put the phone on speaker. "Erin, you there?" Erin agreed. "Yeah."

Will then spoke to her. "Listen, did you water just break?" She agreed. "Yeah." Will understood. "Natalie..." Natalie then went to speak up. "What's up Will?" He then sighed. "Can you come to Jay's with me. Erin just went into labor with twins. They want to do it at home to protect them against COVID...." She agreed with him. "Of course, let me get changed. Talk to..." That's when we heard Goodwin. "Me?": Will agreed. "Mrs. Goodwin, Erin's in labor. Home birth. Can I?"

She agreed. "Of course. Erin, good luck!" Erin agreed. "Thanks Mrs. Goodwin." Will then spoke to us. "Guys, give us 5-10 minutes to get there. She is early and will be fine. Jay, just get her to breathe. I am staying on the line." That's when I heard Natalie. "Mrs. Goodwin, can we go home afterwards?"  Mrs. Goodwin agreed. "Will, you stay with your brother. Natalie, can you call me when you are done and we'll see?" She agreed. "Of course. Wish us luck!" She agreed.

Will then spoke to us. "Okay, we are just leaving the ER now. Jay, I have that spare key you gave me. Can I use it?" Erin nodded. "He can smash through the window for all I care. You are not leaving!" I then sighed and looked at her. "I am just going to run and unlock the door. Natalie, help her breathe. I will get water towels and everything." Erin agreed and then went to kiss me. "See you in a bit guys. Get here fast." My brother agreed with me while I rushed downstairs to go unlock the door. "C'mon Champ, we are going to put you in your crate." Erin agreed. "Thanks!"

I nodded and then went to rush away so that I could put Champ in his crate and open the door for Will and Natalie. Rushing down, I decided to call Antonio too. He answered right away. "Got somethi..." I interrupted him and told him. "Your Head of Intel until further notice. Erin's in labor. Take over case." He agreed. "Oh god, good luck. Want me." I then went to hang up and just put my phone in my pocket so that I could put Champ in his crate as well as open the door.
