"you knew that what you were doing would hurt me and that didn't stop you."

A month had passed since the last Order meeting and Peter's visit, and Cleo and Sirius had been idly buying their time until the 25th. Every day seemed a bit more stressful than the last, even though they tried to find peace in things. They were anxiously awaiting to hear something about James and Lily.

Remus hadn't stayed away the whole time, either. He visited a few times in the last month, and each time reaffirmed Cleo's confidence in Remus. She knew that Remus wasn't the spy, although she wasn't sure Sirius felt the same.

Sirius had left on the bike early that morning, claiming he needed to do some shopping. Cleo was too tired to go and had spent the early afternoon cleaning up the apartment with a record on, and now she sat sipping coffee on the couch with the Daily Prophet on her lap when the doorbell rang.

"Coming," she called out as she placed her things on the coffee table and ran to the door. The brown-haired, lanky man in a sweater stood before her, holding onto his arm awkwardly as he smiled. "Remus!" she smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. She pulled him into the apartment, noticing a new scar right above his upper lip. "I wasn't expecting you again so soon."

"Hi Cleo, Sirius home?" Remus chuckled breathlessly.

"No, he went out earlier this morning, what's up?" she asked, gesturing for him to sit as she went to the kitchen to make tea.

"Was just wondering," he said softly. She knew that Remus had noticed the shift in Sirius towards him, and for reasons unexplained to Remus, Sirius hadn't stopped acting put off by his presence.

"I don't know what's got into him," she muttered, trying to make him feel better. She brought a steaming cup of tea over to the couch for him and sat beside him. "How are you?"

"I'm alright," Remus nodded, looking down. "How are you?"

"I'm alright," she repeated, smiling. He had visited twice last week, and each time, their conversations began like that. Obviously, they were both lying.

"I'm sorry to come by again I just..." Remus began and then stopped. Cleo's eyebrows furrowed.

"Well you're always welcome, you can even stay the night if you want," Cleo laughed, but saw his face and immediately began to worry. "Remus, what's wrong?" she asked timidly.

"I miss him, Cleo," Remus said suddenly. "You know I haven't gone through a full moon by myself in 5 years, till now," he chuckled sadly. "I forgot what it was like to go through it alone."

"Oh Remus, I'm so sorry," she whispered, reaching over to squeeze his hand.

"It's alright," he shook his head, "I didn't mean to say anything I just--"
