{"what did it cost?"     "everything."}

Cleo remembered reading in a book once, in her father's library, that the best fighter is never angry. To stay cool and to keep your wits about you, were key ingredients in making a great warrior. This quote ran through Cleo's mind on a loop as she stood next to her best friends in the pouring rain on the top of the Tower Bridge. London looked peaceful below, and Cleo was bitter for a moment that the people could go about their normal lives without a clue of what was taking place in their world. People could go to school, get married, have children, work, and eventually die, all in a peaceful cycle of life. Cleo was bitter suddenly that she was not so fortunate.

But she had something she needed to take care of, and she was determined for it to end with her. The entire Order stood side by side in rank, and Cleo was thankful that she had Sirius on her left, and Luna on her right. Remus, James, Lily, Peter, and Fabian and Gideon also made up their front lines, as well as Dumbledore, Moody, Frank and Alice Longbottom, and a few Aurors. The lights atop the bridge were the only things illuminating their battle field.

Cleo was glad that Marlene was sent away; the girl was too young, and Dumbledore, knowing how ugly this may get, sent her on a separate mission, away from the battle. It was bad enough that all of her friends were here tonight, she couldn't bear it if one more got hurt.

They stood in the dark, hardly speaking a word. It was the waiting that was killing her the most. Cleo's hand already ached as she was gripping onto her wand too tight. The thunder and lightning were the only sounds besides the rain.

"You alright?" Luna's voice carried on the wind. The blonde girl had her hair in a ponytail to keep it from falling in her face, but large raindrops hung on her eyelashes as she squinted at Cleo through the dark.

"I'm alright, are you alright?" Cleo replied. Unlike Luna, Cleo had left her hair down, and it now hung in wet strands and clung to the sides of her neck.

"No," Luna breathed.

"Yeah, me either."

"Cleo?"

"Yeah?"

"I just want you to know," Luna started, taking a shaky breath, "that you are my best friend in the whole world," the girl choked. Cleo looked over at her through the dark and saw the raindrops running down her cheeks, and she realized they were tears. "I don't say it enough because I'm not great at showing my emotions, but you are."

"Oh Luna," Cleo sighed, a tear falling from her eye as well. Suddenly, Luna turned and embraced her tightly, wrapping her arms around Cleo's neck and burying her face into her shoulder. They were both shaking.

"We're gonna be alright," Luna said as she pulled away, sniffling. Cleo nodded and smiled, but the fear in their eyes hadn't disappeared yet. "And you," she said, turning to Remus on her right, who looked confused, "you are my favorite person and I adore you." Luna grabbed Remus' shoulders and pulled him in, kissing him with everything she had. She pulled away with a huge grin, and Remus sat with a stunned look of awe in his eyes.
