They didn't take long to park the car in front of the Mikaelsons mansion, Nik was already at the door in the company of Elijah, they made their way towards the car helping Elena get out of it, they both looked at her, worried all over them. Klaus gives her a kiss on the forehead before grabbing two bags taking it inside of the house. Elijah hugged Elena, she hugged him back, but in a second Elijah grabbed the rest of the bags and entered the house.
Rebekah smiled at her grabbing her hand, they both entered the house, Elena was here multiple times, but never thought of living here, it was too much for her living in a house this big, but right now it's the best thing for her.
"Maybe it is better if you choose a room before dinner love. And please feel at home, after all it is your home now." - Klaus said, making Elena give him a small smile.
"You can choose any room in the house you feel comfortable in." - Elijah said.
"Thank you." - Elena said in a low tone.
Elena started to walk upstairs, she found a long corridor with a lot of doors on either side of it, she started to look inside of the rooms, trying to see if she could feel safe in any of them. She opened one door almost at the end of the corridor, the room had a big window giving a lot of natural light to the big space. The bed was on her left side, a big white bed with gray sheets in it. A door on her left takes her to the bathroom that has a tub and a shower, she loved that. She felt good in that room, she felt like she didn't have to hide in her covers anymore.
Elena looked at the clock in the nightstand and saw that it was almost dinner time, she walked downstairs trying to find the dining room, she stopped on her tracks when she heard Rebekah whisper something to her brothers.
"She chose Kol's room... how is that possible? We cleaned everything, we even emptied the closet... how did she know?" - Rebekah whispered.
"I didn't know... I can choose another room if you want." - Elena makes herself present in the room, making all of the heads turn to her.
"There's no need for that, it's just weird that, from all of the ten rooms in this house, you chose the one that belonged to my brother." - Elijah said, taking a seat at the table.
"I just felt safe there... I didn't understand why, but now I do... I always felt safer when I was with Kol." - Elena said, making the others in the room give her a sad smile. - "I'm not really hungry, but I can keep you company if you want." - Elena said, sitting on the table.
"We would be very happy if you eat something Elena... you don't have to eat the whole plate, but something... please." - Rebekah said in a worried tone.
"I'm sorry Bekah, but... I feel like if i ate something i'm going to throw up anyway." - The brunette said, making everybody look at her.
"I know how it feels Lena, but please... just try." - The hybrid said with a sad voice.
"I can try, but i don't promise anything." - She took one chair sitting on the table, everybody still looked at her but knew their expression was nothing but curious. - "This was Kol's seat on the table wasn't it?" - Elena asked, looking at Rebekah.
"It was indeed." - Elijah was the one that answered her question.
"I'm sorry, i'm not doing it on purpose, i swear." - Elena said, her eyes starting to water.
"It's ok Elena... we are just curious, why are you always choosing the things that belong to Kol?" - Rebekah asked more to herself than to the brunette next to her.
"I...I don't know." - Elena said, letting a tear fall from her eyes.
"Hey, there is no need to cry love. It's fine, he would be very happy to know that the person that took his seat on the table is the woman he loved." - Klaus said, smiling at her.
"Let's just eat, we have a big day tomorrow." - Elijah said, starting to eat his food.
"Are you all leaving tomorrow?" - Elena asked.
"Yes Lena, we are needed in New Orleans, so we have to hurry." - Rebekah said, looking at her.
"Oh... promise to call once in a while right?" - Elena asked, taking a bite of her food.
"And text everyday. I promisse." - Rebekah said, smiling at the girl.
