#Elena POV#
I woke up to the sound of my door being open. I tried to open my eyes but the light that entered the room stopped me from doing that. I sat on the bed scratching my eyes trying to open them. I heard Rebekah laugh probably for seeing me with a messed up hair.
"Hello sleeping beauty, time to wake up don't you think?" - Rebekah said and that made me open my eyes, I looked at her and saw her smile at me.
"What time is it?" - I asked to get out of bed.
"It's 2p.m... you slept all night" - The blonde said, making me look at my phone checking if she was telling the truth.
"Wow... I haven't slept like this in a while." - I told her putting my hair into a messy bun.
"That's good Lena. I hope you can sleep like this everyday from now on." - Rebekah said with a sad smile on her face. - "We are leaving in a few minutes, I just came here to give this to you." - She said looking at the pile of old books on the floor.
"What is that?" - I asked curios.
"Kol's jornal's... every single one of them. They were hidden but we found it when we cleaned this room." - She said looking for some kind of negative reaction.
"Really? Do you think he will be mad at me for reading them?" - I asked with a small smile on my face looking at the pile of journals.
"Not really no... if there is someone that he doesn't mind reading his secrets, it's you Lena." - Rebekah said and I just hugged her.
"Thank you Beks, for everything." - I said.
She helped me organize the books on the shelf of my room chronologically before we headed downstairs only to find Elijah and Klaus waiting at the door. I got closer to them only to be hugged almost immediately by Elijah that held me for a few seconds.
"Please Elena, take care of yourself, and if by any chance you need us just call, we will be here in minutes, i give you my word." - Elijah said in a sweet tone, nothing like the usual serious tone he uses. I smile at his words.
"Don't worry, if something happens, you will be the first to know." - I said.
"Elena... I just want to tell you how sorry I am, for everything. I was using you like you were a blood bag and forgot that you are a person too. I was so selfish with you and for that I am sorry." - Klaus said, trying to avoid looking me directly in the eyes.
"It's ok... I forgive you, as long as you forgive me for trying to kill you so many times." - I say trying to smooth our surroundings.
"Consider yourself pardoned." - Klaus giggled as he hugged me tight. - "You are like family now Elena and family is power, don't ever forget that." - He said while he let go of the hug.
After the two brother's left the house it was Rebekah's turn, she was already crying even before she hugged me, making me start crying with her. We cried together for a few minutes before we started laughing at how pathetic we must look.
"It's not like you are going to die, but... I will miss my sister." - The blonde said, making me smile at her, a genuine smile.
"Don't worry Bekah, we will see each other again and we will talk everyday. But I will miss my only sister too." - I said, cleaning the tears from her face.
"I have something for you... it belonged to Kol, it was his family ring. We want you to keep it." - She said, taking the ring from her pocket and giving it to me, i looked at the small piece of jewelry that is 1000 years old, the "K" in it still perfectly visible, i smiled looking at the ring on my hand.
"It means the world to me Bekah, thank you... and tell Klaus and Elijah that it is an honour to keep this ring." - I said, hugging her once again.
"I'll text you when we get there." - Rebekah looked at me saying her last goodbye in that moment before leaving the house leaving me completely alone with just the walls.
