#Elena POV#
I saw him walking down the stairs in my direction, Damon had already left, I saw him from the corner of my eyes grabbing Rebekas hand and taking her to the other room. Kol had his hand outstretched toward me.
"Would the lovely lady give me the honor of this dance?" - Kol asked with a smile on his face. I lay my hand gently on him, smiling.
"Only if you don't make fun of me, because I don't really know how to dance."
I say while he takes me to the side of the house where the music came from. I looked around trying to find some familiar face among all of the people that were dancing in the middle of the big room. In a few seconds I was at one side of the room with the ladies and Kol was in front of me with the men.
The waltz started playing and we all started dancing. It is in these moments that I thank my mother for making me participate in Miss Mystic Falls.
Finally I could take a good look at the man in front of me, he was nothing like their brothers, Kol still has that innocence in him that the others don't. He still has a little light in his brown eyes that makes him different from all his brothers. His smile, though similar to Klaus', just shows how happy he can still be.
The moment that our bodies touched I felt a wave of electricity go through my whole being, I felt safe in the arms of an original, his brother wants to kill me and I feel safe, why do I feel safe?
"By the way, you look ravishing tonight" - Kol's voice brought me out of my thoughts only to make me smile.
"You don't look so bad yourself." - I tell him, looking straight into his eyes.
"You hurt me darling, I think what you wanted to say is... Kol, you are the hottest person in this entire house." - He says with a smirk appearing on his face.
"Don't flatter yourself, you're good, but you're not That good." - I say laughing at the face he made.
The minutes passed like wind as I lost myself looking into Kol's eyes, everything around us seemed to disappear leaving just the two of us dancing around the room, one of Kol's hands was at the end of my back guiding me to the music, while his other hand was entwined with mine.
But nothing lasts forever and in this case it was a tug that pulled Kol away from me. Klaus was grabbing Kol's arm and I tried to approach them only to be met by a threatening look from the almighty hybrid.
"I told you specifically to stay away from the doppleganger." - Klaus screams at Kol.
"Oh so she's the Doppleganger?" - Kol smiled at Klaus which made the Hybrid even more mad.
"Don't make fun of me Kol unless you want to spend the next 100 years daggered in a coffin." - Klaus threatens him.
"No." - Me and Kol speak at the same time. - "There's no need for that Klaus, he was not going to hurt me." - I told him and saw him let go of Kol's arm.
"I don't think you know about who you are talking about love, Kol can be unpredictable, after all... he is a psychopath." - Klaus whisper in my ear, but i know Kol can listen because his smirk soon turned into a saddened look. Klaus left us alone once again and all I could do was put a hand on Kol's shoulder.
"Don't listen to him, he is just jealous that you can still have a smile on your face after everything that happened to all of you." - I say trying to make the vampire in front of me a little less sad about what his brother just said.
"Thank you Darling" - I heard him say before my phone started to ring.
"Excuse me..." - I say looking at the phone, Caroline sends me a message informing me that she is heading home, I look at the hours. - "Oh crap, I need to go now. But... see you around?" - I asked him while I made my way towards the big doors.
"If Niklaus decides not to dagger me, yes... you will see me around." - I grab my coat and put it on, taking a step towards Kol, my hands resting on his shoulders to keep me balanced while I give him a little kiss on his cheek.
"Goodnight Kol." - I say leaving the house.
"Goodnight Elena."
