"Please Lena, keep in touch with us. If you need anything, anything at all just call on of us." - Caroline said, hugging me.
"Don't worry, I won't disappear again Care. Take care, both of you."
I said leaving the grill, i entered my car that was at the parking lot and put my bag on the passenger seat, she then started the car. A few minutes passed when my phone started to ring. I tried to find it with one hand not taking my eyes off the road, I saw Rebekah's name on the screen and answered it.
"Hey Beks." - I said.
"Bloody hell Elena, I was getting worried,why did you take so long to answer?" - Rebekah said on the other side of the line.
"I'm sorry, I am driving that's why." - I said.
"Oh, then... text me when you arrive at home ok?" - She said on the other side.
"Don't worry Bekah, talk to you later."
I said before looking at my phone so i could end the call, it only took one second for a stupid animal to be in front of my car. Everything happened so fast that I almost didn't feel anything when I came in touch with the water under the Wickery Bridge.
Ironic isn't it? Dieing on the same place that I should have died a few years ago with my parents. I didn't even try to escape, I knew I couldn't do it anyway, so I just accepted it, i saw every piece of my life flashed in my head, the happy moments but also the bad ones. I saw my parents, my aunt and I saw him. My life was about to end and the only thing i can think about is that maybe i will be able to see Kol again, that made me smile.
I felt the water burning my lungs, but even with that... I never felt so much peace like at this moment, I will finally be reunited with him.
I was waiting for the darkness to take me. It felt like I was just in this limbo forever, but then I could finally open my eyes. I looked around me everything was exactly the same except for the fact that I was on the bridge and not in my car. I got up from the floor and I started to walk back in the direction of the grill. I was hoping to find Caroline or Bonnie still around but they were nowhere near.
I was about to call Matt when someone grabbed my arm, when I turned around I saw someone that I thought I was never going to see again.
