I looked at the blonde girl in front of me, happy tears wanted to fall from my eyes but I couldn't let them fall. Right now I'm more worried about the lack of hair that my lungs are getting because of the hand grabbing my neck tight. Rebekah was looking at me with a puzzled expression.

"Bekah... let go, please." - I tried to say the best way I could while being choked.

"I never though that you were dumb enough to come back to Mystic Falls Katherine. You should be far away from this place." - Rebekah said, ignoring completely my words by putting more pressure on her hand.

"It's me Bekah... i ... Elena." - I said, grabbing her hand trying to ease the pressure on my neck.

"That's impossible, my sister died 3 years ago." - She said, looking me in the eyes.

"Bekah, it's me... compel me if you want to." - I said looking straight into her eyes.

"Who are you?" - The blonde asked, looking deeply into my eyes, I felt the control over my mouth going away as she asked.

"My name is Elena Gilbert. I died when I was 18 and now I'm a vampire." - I told her, not controlling anything that i was saying.

"But... how? You were, they told us that..." - Rebekah's hand finally let go of my neck making me able to breathe again, my body was crushed with a massive hug, I could feel the tears falling from my eyes.

"I came back... I was gone for 2 days, but then... i was alive again Bekah." - I said while I hugged her back with the same amount of feeling. - "No one told me that you knew about the accident." - I said, taking a step away from her.

"Of course we knew. Caroline calls us on the same night saying that you have died. We mourned you, we cried for you Elena. Why didn't you tell us that you were alive?" - I could feel the pain in her voice while she talked, the feeling of betrayal, and I couldn't judge her.

"I'm so sorry Bekah... but I just thought that you forgot about me." - I said looking at the girl that is crying just as much as myself right now.

"We would never forget about you Lena... you are family." - Rebekah said, giving me a small smile.

"I tried to call you Bekah, I tried to tell you that I was alive, I tried to tell you all how much I missed you. I even wanted to go to New Orleans but I was afraid, I was so afraid that you might have forgotten about me, that I never left Mystic Falls." - I gently cleaned up the tears from her face, making her smile grow even more.

"Bloody Hell Lena..." - She said, making me giggle. Her expression changed from a happy one to a mix of joy and confusion. - "Oh... when he knows." - She said, making me look at her, now I was the one that was confused.

"Who knows?" - I asked her, and she grabbed my hand lightly.

"He's back Lena... Klaus found a way of bringing him back to us and ... to you. Kol is back."

I didn't know how to feel at this point, I wanted to cry and to scream from the feeling of emptiness inside of my heart being slowly filled again, I wanted to smile just by the thought of him being here, alive. I didn't really know how to act because right now I feel everything and at the same time, nothing at all. He's alive, but he's not with me. Maybe he 's happy? Maybe he found someone? Maybe I'm the only one that is connected to him, just like what happened with Qetsyiah.

"Why... how? Is he?" - I wanted to ask a million questions that in the end nothing came out of my mouth.

"When we told him that you had died... it was like watching him dying all over again. He became void, he came back to his old ways. He's the same person that he was before he met you Lena." - Bekah said with pain present in all of her words.

"Where is he Bekah? I have to see him, I need to." - I said, grabbing her hands, I felt like I was begging my own sister to give me back the happiness that I once felt.

"They are in the mansion, the house where you live. Kol came back because of his ring. He said that everyday since he's back that the ring is calling for him, like drawing him to Mystic Falls." - She said, looking at me.

"You mean... this ring?" - I asked her to put my hand in front of her face, the massive ring present on my finger making her smile.

"It's your daylight ring?" - She asked, grabbing my hand.

"It is... i wanted to have him always close to me. So I decided to have him to protect me." - I said, looking around us. - "But now Bekah... I have to go see him." - I said smiling.

"I'll go with you Lena, they think you are dead. I'm afraid that they might..." - She was trying to say but I stopped her.

"Then come. We'll do this together." - I said starting to walk in the direction of my car.
