"So you want me to make a bracelet for your kid in case he can't control the magic?" - Freya asked me, more like confirming what I'm asking of her.
"Yes, it's better than to wake up to a house on fire, don't you think?" - I asked her. I grabbed a cup full of water, lately my thirst have been killing me.
"Ok... I can do that. I just hope that your baby has the ability to control his magic, just like Kol had before he was turned." - The blonde said.
Freya was ready to leave the kitchen when the massive sound of some water falling on the floor was heard, making her stop immediately on her tracks.
"Please 'Lena, tell me that you just spilled the water of the cup on the floor." - She said in a serious tone.
I didn't feel anything at the moment, the shock taking over me when I heard the water making contact on the floor, my water just broke and I couldn't take a step because I was just looking at it with a smile on my face. I was preparing to answer Freya when I felt the first twinge of pain on the lower part of my belly, my hands grabbing the counter of the kitchen for support.
"Fucking hell..." - I said in a whimper, making Freya finally look at me.
"Why did this have to happen when everybody is out?" - She asked, more to herself then to me, but i had to let a low chuckle leave my lips.
"They're doing the last minute shopping for the baby's nursery." - I said, starting to walk towards the stairs. - "Can you please call Kol? I don't think I can get to the hospital in time..." - I said, feeling the pain getting more intense and coming faster than a couple of minutes ago.
"It's a good thing I can deliver a baby then." - Freya said, helping me climb up the stairs.
The minute that Freya touched me to help me walk to my room, I could see that she wasn't here for a couple of seconds, her body was in the room, but her soul wasn't. Anxiety and fear covering up the pain that I'm feeling. When she finally looked at me, the fear in her eyes was overwhelming, especially considering my state at the moment. She helped me lay on the bed and was ready to leave before I grabbed her hand.
"What did you see?" - I asked her.
"Nothing for you to worry about right now... just, focus on bringing this baby into the world Lena." - She said, a warm smile on her face.
I nodded, watching her grabbing her phone, probably to call the father of my baby, who was beside me in seconds, holding my hand while I obeyed Freya's order to push harder. I could feel the sweat running down my forehead, my breath getting faster and faster by the seconds. I was trying not to scream, only focusing on bringing my baby to the world.
"C'mon Darling, just a little more." - Kol said, his voice calm, which made me more upset.
"Don't darling me. I'm going to kill you. This is your fucking fault." - I cursed and threatened him, because right now... The pain that I was feeling was partially his fault too.
"Just one more big push Elena." - Freya said.
I was trying, i was really trying, the last bit of power in me making me able to give one final push, the sweet crying of a baby was heard and all of the pain that I could feel... completely gone. I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds, not even being able to maintain them open to see my beautiful baby.
#Kol POV#
I watched Freya giving our little baby to Rebekah that smiled instantaneously with the little person in her hands. I looked at Freya with a sad expression present on her face. I couldn't care less about that right now, but then it made sense, Elena was lying on the bed, the blood coming out of her and then ... I heard nothing, no heartbeat, no breathing... nothing. Elena still had a smile on her face, but she was not here. I got up from beside her, my hands gripping my hair hard.
"No, no, no, no. Not again. I can't do this without her." - I said, my voice weaker at this point, i couldn't stop from pacing around the room.
"Kol..." - Freaya called as she put her hand on my shoulder. - "She is going to wake up... she has vampire blood on her sistem, I saw it..."
"How? That's not possible..." - I said, finally looking at my older sister.
