She looked at the clothes she packed. One dress drew her attention. She picked it up and put it on. She usually wouldn't dress to impress anyone. Psh...That's exactly what she wasn't doing that's for sure. She put one her heels and slipped into her jacket. That's when she remembered that he never told her where to meet. She walked over and picked up her clutch. She looked for her phone. As if reading her mind, there was a text message waiting to be read. She opened it. 'Top floor. 3rd door to your right.' The text read. She made her way out of the room and towards the elevator. She put the phone in her clutch bag and stepped onto the elevator. "Top floor please." She said. The guy nodded pressing it. She smiled as she made her way up with a bonus of a cute guy next to her. They kept looking at each other as the elevator went up.
He waited anxiously for the brunette to walk in. He made sure everything was perfect. He was so nervous that he began to chew his lip and wipe his sweaty palms. He heard the beautiful laugh he enjoyed so much. He stood up and waited as her small figure appeared before him. He wore a wry smile which was blocking his actual smile."Lynch." She greeted looking him directly in the eyes. "Marano. Have a seat won't you?" He said gesturing it to her. She raised an eyebrow as she sat down. He pushed her chair in and sat next to her. She forced a smile. "Am I in trouble?" She asked. "No. Not at all." He said. She looked even more confused. "Then what am I doing here?" She asked. "Its a date."He reminded her. She looked around and noticed the setting. It was his suite and it was decorated. She smiled. "You did all of this or did you have someone do it for you?" She asked. "I did actually." He said. She was impressed. "Your kidding." She laughed. A real laugh. "Not even. I'm telling you the absolute truth." He said. She was impressed. She saw a bouquet of roses. Her eyes started to sparkle. He handed them to her. She smiled.
"My mom always brought me one every day after a hard day of work." She told him. "I'm glad I got you them then." He chuckled. "Thanks." She said. "Look. I wanted to say I'm sorry for my violent acts against you." He said. She nodded. "Its just you don't listen and everyone says I'm choosing favorites but I'm only doing what's best for the company. I mean I would've fired you a long time ago." He told her. She chuckled. "I guess I'm just that lucky." She smirked. He looked jnto her beautiful eyes. She looked back into his. Chocolate brown eyes. She felt mesmerized. She put down the roses and sat up straight. She cleared her throat as she looked back at him.
"Um...What was that kiss about last night?" She asked. He looked at her. The one topic he was trying to avoid. "Its just you belong to me and I wanted to make that clear."He said picking up his glass of wine. She looked at the cup. She noticed how his lips sipped from the cup perfectly. She bit her lip and touched them. "Something wrong?" He smirked. She noticed he was staring at her. There were plates of food set. The waitor removed the lids and quietly left. He rested his hand on hers. It was awkward but of course neither was going admit that. Ross was sweet and Laura was surprised that he even had a side like that. She laughed at his jokes and all the stress was lifted off her shoulders and of course his. She found him to be quite charming. He was able to actually keep her there for an hour without upsetting her.
He pulled out a box. She looked at it. "I kinda owe you after you got Alex to join." He said. "Yeah. I did." She said a bit scratchy. He pulled it towards her. She opened the box and there lie her mother's necklace. She smiled looking at it. "I'm sorry about it.I shouldn't have done that." He whispered looking away for a brief moment. "You...You fi-fixed it."She stuttered. He nodded. "I'm sorry for the way I acted towards you." He apologised. She smiled. She couldn't be mad anymore now can she? He was sweet enough to listen to her and he brought back memories that he didn't even know existed. She looked and seen he had his fingers looped in his necklace. "Is your mom...not ...with us anymore?"She asked as politely as possible."Yeah. She passed last year. That's why I try so hard to make our company as big as possible. To make her proud. She watches over me.I know she's here. Right here."He pointed to his heart. She gushed. 'Wow.' She thought. "Where's your dad?"She asked. He looked at her.
"It's getting late. I'll walk you to your room."He said. She stood up and stopped him."No. I'd like to know."She said. He sighed and looked away. She walked over to him. She looked in his eyes. "I'm sorry. You can tell me anything."She said. He looked at her. "I don't think I can. Not in this very state."He said. He picked up the necklace. "May I?"He asked. Her eyes beamed with light. "Yes."She said. She turned around as her put it on her. His fingers gently brushing the hair to one side. He clipped it together. She smiled and looked at him. "Thank you."She said. He smiled. A real smile. This made her blush for some reason. "I'll turn my attitude down a bit."She said. He chuckled. "Be as you are." He whispered. She noticed a little dust on his shoulder. She brushed it off. He raised an eyebrow at her. She blushed and stammered. "Well..uh..There.."She said. He put her arms on his shoulders as his wrapped around her waist. she wrapped hers around his neck. The air was tense. They had you wondering what they would do. She looked at his lips that formed a smile. They moved to the light romantic music. He leaned in. She did too. Expecting a kiss, he kissed her cheek. She felt a bit embarrassed but accepted the gesture. She removed her arms. He held her hand and her flowers. She smiled as she held her bag. They then made their way to her room.
"Thanks for all of this."She smiled. He nodded and smiled. She put the roses into water and then looked back at him. "Well good night." He said. She smiled but held his hand. He looked at her. She awkwardly let go. "I'm sorry for all the times that I was such an..."He glared. "I'm sorry."She said. "Its okay. You always made my day."He winked. She blushed. 'Thanks."She said. "Well. I'll see you in a week."He said. "A week!?"She asked."I'm flying out to Australia tomrrow. You get to spend your time here. Relax and lay back. Once we get home, it's back to business so enjoy."He said walking out to the hall. She nodded. "Thanks..."She said. He nodded. "Master Lynch."He said. "Thanks Lynch."She said. He chuckled and walked away. She watched him as he walked away. She smiled. 'Wow.'She thought.
