Wei Wuxian felt as though he was having an outer body experience as he stared at what was ahead. There was nothing but clouds, a huge blanket of unmoving clouds that covered every side of him. He turned his head both ways as far as he could and there was just nothing, only him and endless, clouds all over. It seemed as though he was floating over them or even on an edge very close to them yet he didn't feel the thrill of soaring and his feet felt like they were stuck in something, planted in heavy lead. He tried moving but he realised that he could only move his head and part of his arms. He was absolutely alone and lost as he didn't know where he was nor did he understand any part of this. Suddenly, he heard someone call out his name and he immediately whipped his head towards the voice. It started off as a low whispers, resonating from different areas causing his anxiety to rise. It then became louder and steady and Wuxian could clearly tell that something or someone was reaching out to him. At first he had thought it was Lan Zhan and had been ready to respond only for it to grow into a hollow, soul snatching noise that began to attack and torment him.
"Weiiiiii Wuxian ...... Weiii Wuxiiian ..... Weiiiiiiiii Wuxiiiiian ...... WEIIIIIIIII ....... WUXIIIIIAN!!!"
"Arghhh!" Wuxian cried out as he tried to run. He felt as though his heart was being squeezed while the air in his lungs got forced out painfully. His body was unable to cooperate as he began fighting off whatever was out there that seemingly wanted his soul. He tried calling for help but no sound came out of his mouth and it made him even more terrified.
'No...... No! Lan Zhan!! Qin Su! Anyone, help me!!!" he thought over and over as the struggle became evident. He didn't like this place anymore and he was downright scared out of his mind.
" Weiiiiii Wuxiiian....... Coooome. Come with meeeeee!" the voice hauntingly called out as it began choking him. His eyes bulged out as he fought off the unknown and unseen enemy and began crying. He didn't want any part of this anymore. He didn't want this at all.
"Nooo, NOOOOO!" he coughed out before plunging into an infinite darkness and was catapulted into an abyss. Everything happened in a instant and in the next moment, Wuxian felt himself crash into an abominable force gasping for air like a fish out of water.
Everything was ringing as the boy abruptly came to life. Immediately the waiting staff stormed into his into room and soon medical records were being dictated.
"Doctor, blood pressure is rising, clocking in at 131/81mmHg, heart rate is irregular and clicks in at 120 beats per minutes. Patient is showing signs of excessive adrenaline rush and shock. Convulsions are being detected," said one of the nurses as she read off the monitor. Wuxian had come back from the dead but was struggling to breathe and his body was clearly fighting itself.
" Inject 100 grams of Hydralazine to reduce blood pressure and 30 grans of Amiddarone for his heart. Keep monitoring him while I check for other symptoms." ordered the doctor in charge who was professionally calm and precise.
"Alright, let's see. Young man, can you hear me..... Move your eyes if you can." he ordered as he checked his eyes. He did a check on the rest of his body, assessing to see if there was any other damage and take necessary precautions. Wuxian was not totally out of the clear but his breathing eventually came down as the nurses injected him with the medication and he stabilised. For a moment, they had been unsure about him.
"Patient shows signs of dehydration as well as nerve consciousness. For now he is still unconscious and there is presence of fluctuations but I think he will be fine. Put him on liquids and once he wakes up, morphine to lessen the pain. Call me if anything else occurs." the doctor said as he finished recording everything. The patient was a lucky young man and he was sure to pull through. His surgery had been successful and he was young and strong enough to make a speedy recovery with little remission. They just had to be cautious that sudden complications and scares such as this wouldn't come into play later on and turn his case into the worst. His companions weren't as lucky as he was.
