Wuxian felt like kicking himself as he pulled on his leather jacket closer and tighter to himself. It was currently 5:32 pm in the evening and the town's square was slowly filtering out the day people for the night owls. The wispy wind chilled everyone around and sent goosebumps running up and down their backs. It was very unlikely for this type of weather especially during summer yet here it was fluctuating and causing a bitter cold to wash over them.

He looked down at his watch once again, his heart dropping as he came to accept the inevitable. He had been played by none other than Lan Zhan. That fucking bastard!! He couldn't believe it. Lan Zhan had deliberately set him up then left him high and dry. Both of had agreed to meet today at 1 yet it was close to 6 now and he felt like cracking the ground open and letting himself get swallowed whole.

'That two-timing racsal! How could he do this to me!?! It's not like I forced him to agree!! If he didn't want to talk about then he should have just said so! I would've have let it go for his sake!!! What the actual fuck?!'  Wuxian questioned as he stared hard at the countless red bean honey bun wraps that covered the tiny cafe table. He sat there unwilling to move, hoping as his heart tugged in different ways. First came disappointed then anger, sadness, hope, a battle of control and eventually despair as reality settled in. A disapproving and heartbroken look came over him as he scoffed trying to push away the slap in the face. His eyes burned with unshed toxic tears and his chest flared as he struggled to maintain composure.

"Ahh fuck it! Fuck you Lan Zhan! If this is how you want to be, so be it." he finally muttered to himself, standing up abruptly and paid for his meal. He had gotten the message loud and clear. Catching the escaping tear, Wuxian took to his own and began his way home. His whole mood was off the charts as feelings of bright red anger and blue - hued worthlessness chased him, threatening to overwhelm. Fuck, he felt soooo stupid and foolish! Why on earth would Lan Zhan appear if he had struggled soo much to bury the whole thing away? He guessed he had been the only one pining and thinking ahead. 'Idiot! You just made a fool of yourself Wei Wuxian and now you are paying for it.' he kept telling himself, sweeping his hair to the sides.

Dejected and defeated, he led the way, criss-crossing between the throngs of people and decided to call it a night. His demeanour reflected off and one could easily tell that he had had a terrible day especially the small gang of boys who had been watching him for a while now. The crowd of 7 smiled and nodded at each other as they slowly got up and followed  behind. It seemed as though Wuxian hadn't been the only one with a prior date of the day.

Wuxian took his time getting home as walked through the emptied park, hoping by chance that he was still mistaken and that Lan Zhan hadn't stood him up. Hoping that there was a perfect explanation for all of this because he hadn't even gotten a phone call or message but none of that happened. He took the usual route, attempting not to think about his situation and just get over it. It around then he heard the uneven sounds of footsteps trailing not far behind him. Stopping in his tracks, he shifted his attention away from his thoughts and became alert all of a sudden. It would seem that he was not totally alone and the people following him weren't those who bore good news. Oh great! Of course on the day he was feeling his shittiest, more fucking shit piled on. How fucking worse could things possible get for him?

Sighing audibly, he turned around, hands deep in his pockets as he peered at the unkwnon faces that surrounded him. "If you are here to rob or kill me, I suggest you turn back now. I am already in a bad mood and I don't feel like putting up with more nonsense. So please go back to where you came from and leave me alone." he said not bothering to even look up at them, turning to walk away. He was as tired as one could get.
