"Lan Zhan, I'm thinking we should have some sort of plan for our extra training time. We both know that what we do in class won't really suffice for it," Wuxian stated rather loudly against the noise that filled the cafeteria room. Ever since the news, Wuxian had been thinking about how he and Lan Zhan could get extra time to start getting in tune with each other. They could not downplay this chance. Lan Zhan nodded as he took a bite of his meal. He too had been thinking about the same. They had given their word and he intended to keep it. The only issue was to figure out how.

"What do you have in mind?" he asked back. He wanted to know what Wuxian had to say so that they could work from there. Around them were still whispers of the two but thankfully it was dwindling with time. They were soon becoming the new norm.

"Mhhmm," Wuxian started swallowing his food first before continuing.

"I was thinking that maybe after school we can remain behind and train for another 3 hours. I heard that the 6th year's night classes will begin next week so we won't be totally alone and we can seek permission from the principal to stay until then." Wuxian said. It was an idea he had pondered on for sometime. Lan Zhan considered his words and didn't see any problem with it. It was good chance to utilise. He nodded at Wuxian which prompted him to continue.

" Also, I figured we could practise over the weekends. My aunt and uncle still work on those days so I will be free and there's more than enough space for us to take on most of our activities. I'm hoping your weekends are free as well. It would really be helpful."

"Yes I'm free. I like that idea. It will be much easier to train at home as well. I propose we both interchange bdtween our houses so that we do not overuse one home at a time. Will your aunt and uncle be fine with me coming over?" Lan Zhan questioned. He knew not all people liked having strangers in their home especially teenagers.

" Of Course Lan Zhan!! Don't worry about it. I will let them know before you come so they will be ok."

The rest of their conversation was cut short as they hurried to finish lunch and head back to class but they still carried on with the topic. Lan Zhan decided that he would speak with Principal about overstaying while Wuxian was to look up various times art technics they could use. According to their master, the duo team levels held very special and formalised fighting skills and it would be much better for them to learn outside of what they knew to be able to fight better. Lan Zhan had seen how those duo teams worked and it was necessary for them to up their fighting skills and perfect the ones they already knew. Both of then became super busy in an instant as they struggled to juggle both school  life and their training.

Their whole day was spent with them constantly discussing, changing, arguing and agreeing with their different and numerous ideals until they had a clear picture of what they wanted. It was such a sight to see, the two new friends spoke so candidly and animatedly. The two looked so overthrown into the topic and it felt incredible for Wuxian to hear and feel Lan Zhan gravitate towards him in something that they both enjoyed. It was more than welcoming to listen to Lan Zhan's various tales on things, his opinions and he appreciated that even when he disagreed with Wuxian, he did it in a manner that didn't diminish him but to express himself. It was enjoyable seeing spits of fire in Lan Zhan's voice and his passion shine through.

Lan Zhan felt content for the first time in a while. He wasn't sure of pairing the two of them in the first place had been a good idea since he and Wuxian had very different approaches but now he was sure that there was no one else he would rather have than Wuxian as his partner. He had come to trust him that much. Lan Zhan felt his heart beat in anticipation and body tingle each time they came up with a different fighting style or imagined various outlooks and he loved it even more  when Wuxian shared in the same excitement. They were almost kids at this point with most yelps and squeals coming from Wuxian whenever a thought projected out while Lan Zhan masked most of his facials though his eyes beamed with fire and a sense of accomplishment.
