Time Through Time We Remain Untamed.

CHAPTER 36: TRIALS BEGIN

     Noise over filled the whole compound as students flowed into the vicinity. The hustle and bustle of their glorious return thrummed and aired through the ground into the walls and charged the place. It was a new beginning for all and the nervous states of beings was heavily imprinted all around. Wuxian was alive and buzzing as he rejoined his friends, younger peers and classmates. He was busy catching up and making sure that everyone knew he was back. Laughter, jokes and cheer was everywhere he went and it felt great to be in their natural niche once again.

      Class 5A was throbbing with people moving in and out even though most students were yet to report back. Wuxian ran in, a smile on his face as he spotted his and Lan Zhan's desks intact. Lan Zhan would probably show up after a few days since he would be resuming his head duties at the moment and he didn't want to disturb him. He cleaned up both of their stations making sure all was prepared so that they would start off the school year on a great note.

    He was in the middle of aligning their row when a familiar peach scent attacked his olfactory senses and it wasn't long before he was attacked by a small, little girl.

"WEI WUIXAN!!!!!!! OH! MY! GOD! I'VE MISSED YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!" Qin Su shrieked right into his ear in attempt to deafen him as she clung to his neck. Wuxian had little time to respond as Qin Su went into  shriek mode and flung both of them to and fro. He smiled at her bubbliness before eventually hugging her back, tightly. He had missed the Ray of sunshine.

      "Aiyaaa Su ahh! Look at you!! Have you grown taller? You reach my chest now!! And look! You've outgrown your bob ........ Wooow, you are absolutely stunning. I almost didn't recognise you," he commented when they finally let go and took a good look at her. Her neck length hair was now shoulder length and she was no longer as short as he recalled.

     " Yaa Wei Wuxian!!! I am always stunning but thank you. I ate a lot of vitamins and lost weight that's why I look talker and Mama suggested I let my hair grow. It does look nice, doesn't it?" Qin Su asked, her pearly whites on show as she twirled. Wuxian nodded affirmatively as he clapped, matching her level of excitement.

    " Ohh Qin Su ahh, this semester you will definitely be the talk of the town. All the boys will be after you. I can promise you that." he continued as he escorted her to her desk. Her own group of friends were yet to arrive so for now, it was just the two of them.

    " Ohh come one Wuxian, you exaggerate. Even if that was true, there's only one person I would accept," Qin Su cheekily laughed before shooting hearts at him who played along as he held his chest, fainting at the attack. They laughed at their silliness before Qin Su took her seat and Wuxian leaned against her desk.

   " Anyway, how about you Wei Wuxian? Anything interesting happen over the summer? You seem much more..... mmhh....... Just much more. Did something good happen?" she posed,  polished hands on her hips, eyes wide open ready to listen.

    "Su ahh, you never change, do you? Always sticking your nose in my business. The summer was as good as it could be. Nothing more, nothing less." Wuxian shruggingly replied, keeping it cool faced. He avoided the younger girl's piercing gaze and frowning duck lips hoping to evade her curiosity.

      " Don't lie to me Wei Wuxian. I know something went down. My instincts are never wrong. Deny all you want but I will find out. Mark my words." she answered, knowing that Wuxian wouldn't make it easy for her but dropped it since it was the first day. They had a whole semester to play cat and mouse. Wuxian gave her a teasing wink before they settled into other talks and activities until the day came to an end. It was a very non productive first day but friends and companions were able to update themselves with each other and that was one of the major ups of school.
