The sounds of the city bombarded  Wei Wuxian's senses. He had just landed in Beijing and he was currently standing outside the airport, not sure of what to do. The last 24 hours had all been surreal. From his tearful farewell with the other prisoners especially Oscar who didn't know that Xuanyu was going to be released until that day. The Berlin prison ward had kept their word. They provided a ticket for him, took him through transitional therapy for cognitive reinforcement and reformation and they had given him enough money that would last him a good 2 weeks until he got his feet together. The whole process had been unreal until it came time for Wuxian to officially change out of his orange overalls into normal clothes. That particular moment was so overwhelming that Wuxian chocked up on emotions as he held the simple shirt and trousers in his hands.

It felt good and weird to be a civilian again and it was truly a miracle that he had been given a second chance at life. The only problem was, where was he supposed to start now? The Berlin police hadn't instructed him that far....

Wei Wuxian stood at the exit for a while trying to get his bearings right when a taxi rolled up next to him and offered a ride.

“Are you going somewhere young man? I've seen you standing there for a while now,” the older driver asked a cigarette hanging off his lips. Wuxian broke out of his stupor and smiled at the driver happily. “Yes sir. I was just looking at how much the city had changed that's all. Can you please take me downtown?” Wuxian responded as he hopped in. He had no luggage or bags with him and he was a bit shabbily dressed in a washed out black shirt, baggy jeans and a rainbow colored marvin on his unruly shaggy hair. He looked like a low life beggar than the honorouble man that he was. The driver grunted a response then took off in the direction of the busiest  parts of the city.

The whole drive Wuxian stared out the window marvelling at the beauty and growth of the city. A lot of things had changed to a point it was almost unrecognisable. The tall and glamorous buildings stood high on each side, gleaming in the sunlight. He enjoyed the rushing wind through the open window and the familiar smell of his homeland infiltrated all his 5 senses. They finally got into the inner city and Wuxian requested to be let off at one of the market streets. He knew the inner city of downtown very well, having spent a lot of time here with a particular someone in their younger days. His first course of action was to find a place to sleep for the night before anything else and there was no better place than downtown. All the cheap motels and guesthouses were at his service and Wuxian wasn't about to pass that up.

He went into several houses until he found a motel that suited his liking. It was very low key, inexpensive and most of all they didn't require certain credentials. Just a name and payment was enough which Wei Wuxian only had at the moment. He decided to continue  using Mo Xuanyu for the meantime so that he could get things on order and start over. The room was a single, shabby space with a slight moldy stench within and a broken window but that didn't bother Wuxian. His great ability to adapt was being put to use and the fact that he had been in prison the whole time meant that he didn't have much to choose from.
Besides, it wasn't like he didn't know that something like this wouldn't happen. It had been made very clear that he didn't have a home anymore the moment he had been arrested and his adoptive family had made it even more clearer when they came to see him on one of their travels a few years back. It had been a blessing and a curse since Wuxian didn't particularly like his adoptive family ; the Jiangs any more than they did but it was also a blow to him to know that he was utterly alone in this world.

On the brighter side, he had another option which would immediately put him back on the status he deserved in society. He could easily reclaim his inheritance that his parents had left him before their tragic deaths. Make no mistake that Wei Wuxian was a poor piece of scum. Oh no. He, in fact, was a man of great honourable birth and of a renowned people. Wei Wuxian was the only child of his dear parents. His father was a well known entertainer and business man having various acolades in acting, singing and owned various clothing enterprises. His mother was one of the most respected women of her time being the only female devoted disciple  of the Great Healing Monk and Martial artist and travelled around the country treating people both physically and mentally.
