Time and Space did not seem to matter in their wide and vast space. No thought about yesterday or tomorrow, no worries about anything or anyone and no chasing after or running from imminent danger or suspicious works. There was no hurt, no pain, no bother and no trouble whatsoever just endless peace and tranquility that couldn't be found anywhere else in the world.
Wuxian laughed heartily at what the little girl besides him was saying his cheeks aching at the constant stretch.
"I'm serious Wei Wuxian, you just think I'm making this up!!"
"Ahh Su ahh! That just sounds soo fake!!" he replied, tousling her head.
Qin Su had been the first person he had found once he woke up in this world and that had probably been the best day yet. How they both had recognised each other and had raced into each other's arms.... She was just as beautiful as he had always remembered, her spirit radiating. There had been no questions asked as they reunited, using the time to catch up on everything! 17 years was quite a long time. They knew they were dead and that they were in some sort of afterlife and they knew about Jin. It had saddened Qin Su greatly but noone could be blamed for his own choices in his life. Other than that, they had spent all their time together as much as possible because they fucking could. And he hadn't been the only one. Great laughter came from the opposite end of the room, causing them to look back at the other pair.
If you thought Lan Zhan looked similar to his father then you would have to think again because he was the spitting image of his darling mother. Lan Zhan had appeared some time after Wuxian..... Or was it before? And the person that had welcomed him was Xiao Ling in all her glory. It have been an incredulous moment of mother and child, the 2 taking to each other yearningly and had been unable to separate since then. Much was talked about and shared and for the first time in a long time, they were happy. Wuxian and Lan Zhan were genuinely happy and they didn't want to leave.
The room shook, the vibration much stronger this time causing Qin Su to stand up.
"What's wrong?" Wuxian asked, noticing the change in her body language..
Again.... It was happening again.
"Miss Ling!!" she called out to the already approaching woman. They began to talk in hushed voices, Lan Zhan and Wuxian wondering what was going on. Did the shakes mean something?
"Both of you, come with us." Xiao Ling said, ushering them.
"Where are we going? Is everything ok Mama?"
"No. Everything is not ok. There's something the 2 of you need to see, something we've been hiding from you." Qin Su replied as they went through a door and came into a very white hall.
Directly infront of them were huge ceiling to floor doors that had both their names on it. The bottom half of the doors were visible but the top half was slowly disappearing, fading into nothingness.
"We didn't say anything before most probably because we were just too overjoyed to see you hut we can't let you go on like this," Xiao Ling began.
"Mmh. The truth is, this place is the Web...."
"The Web?" they questioned.
"Yes. The Web is sort of an intermediary afterlife juncture but only for specific souls like me and Miss Ling."
"Souls like you?"
"Mmh. People who either died before their time (Qin Su) or people who died with regrets in their hearts at the last moment (Xiao Ling). We don't get the eternal heavenly resting place but neither do we go to hell, rather we get stuck here in a never ending world; wandering. "
