There was an uncomfortable and nerve wracking silence as Wuxian waited inside the principal's office. His uncle had been phoned as soon as possible and now he was regretting his life choices. His previous anger and frustration was dying down and he was slowly coming to see the ridiculousness of the situation. He shouldn't have acted like that especially towards Lan Zhan. He was only trying to help and now both of them were going to pay the price. The only good thing was that it was his uncle who had been called and he was lucky he had accepted to come otherwise, he would be digging his grave by now of his aunt had been contacted.
Wuxian had been taken in first while Lan Zhan waited in the reception area. The two had not said a word to each other as they made way to the administration block. Wuxian couldn't help but feel as though the little progress they had made was completely broken by now. All because of his stubbornness and stupidity. He should have just backed down back there but he didn't and let his anger get the best of him and he couldn't even explain why. That was what made the whole this stupid. But.... Lan Zhan could have also relented. If he had just given into him and let him have the bottle, all this could have been avoided Wuxian thought to himself then shook his head in disagreement. He wasn't about to just put the blame on Lan Zhan. They both had played the part and now they had to face the repercussions.
He breathed a sigh of stress and immediately gasped out in pain. His thoughts had been all over the place that he had totally forgotten that he had just been in a fight. Not a first for him but definitely memorable. Lan Zhan was much more to the eye than most people. He was incredibly strong and he wasn't even using all of his strength. Wuxian rubbed his right side along his ribs as he was sure that a bruise would soon form. Infact, a lot of bruises would form. The two had fought outside on the rough gravel and twisted around like an unravelling thread. His ribs, leg, head and neck throbbed with pain and an onset of injuries were taking place. They hadn't gone easy with other like wild dogs and he was sure that Lan Zhan was sporting some of his own as well. He sat there pondering what to do, the two had crossed a line that was now going to be difficult to redraw not to mention that the whole school probably knew about it by now and that their classmates will give them hell for the rest of the term. And their guardians had also been involved...... It was a mess and wreck.
Wuxian held his head, his demeanor significantly changed and thoughts running around in his head. The door opened and he turned back to see the principal walking in, followed by his very unpleased uncle.
“Have a seat Mr Jiang. I apologise for having to call you during work hours but this is a situation that I simply can not ignore especially since your nephew is directly involved,” the esteemed principal spoke as he turned to face both Mr Jiang and Wuxian.
“It's ok Principal WenZhui, in fact it is I who should apologise for Wuzian's irresponsible behaviour especially at school. I would have thought that he had left those mischievous antics behind but it seems as though the more he grows older, the more he gets out of hand.” Mr Jiang said eyeing Wuxian who looked aside to avoid the glance of disappointment in his uncle's eyes. He was in soo much trouble.
The principal smiled the usual it's- ok - but- your- child - is- a- problem- we- can't - solve - smile then proceeded to explain the situation while also bringing up Wuxian's previous issues he had with various teachers in other areas. His uncle's facials grew dimmer with each statement to a point that Wuxian wished for the principal to just shut up unless he was out to bring disaster upon his head. His uncle was usually a calm and simple guy with little complications but make no mistake that he wouldn't discipline you when you did something wrong. And at this rate, Wuxian would get a whooping for sure.
“Mr Jiang, Wei Wuxian is a good student according to his progress reports and academia but he is still lacking in brushing up his behaviour especially towards his teachers and students. It's fine to want to be funny and outgoing but there is a limit to everything; to set him on the right path. We ask that you do your part as well when he is at home.” the principal further stated as he looked directly at Wuxian and his uncle. This guy was unbelievable, he was literally belittling his uncle making it seem as though his uncle was at fault for not disciplining him. Wuxian scoffed af his statement but quickly recovered himself once he saw the fire in his uncle's eyes. Oh yeah, he was definitely getting a beat down today. He winced already feeling the pain in his butt.
