      6 Months Later

The media world was having a field day with the surge of happenings that  took place every fortnight. It was never ending. It had all started off as surprise attacks on different parts of the city slowing building up to a constant play out of vigilante acts; here, there and everywhere. But the thing that they didn't know was that they too were part of the game, playing their role so well as the real deal down behind the scenes;the puppet master well ahead of all of them.

Wei Wuxian had laid the foundation to all his doings on solid, firm ground that nothing could tear it down. He had played the cards well, setting each at its appropriate place, one after the other. It had been 6 months since his deal with Qiren and both had kept to their end of the agreement. Wuxian was nonexistent while Lan Qiren made him head over 150 men and women who swore their loyalty to him and him alone. Trained and armed, Wuxian had set out to not only target Jin but completely destroy him. Killing him physically wouldn't really do so the main aim was to tear down his well built empire which wasn't easy to do. It turned out that Jin was a very wealthy, influential man in society and was well endowed in a number of businesses.

From money laundering, prostitution, drug cartels  to cooperative alliances and political parties. He was a man who had both hands and feet in the legal and illegal worlds. He was infamous. That was more than enough for him to work with. Whatever the media was chasing after were simple distractions from the real stories. They had to cover the media so that none of the very great existential things became too apparent and attract attention. Some gang violence here and there, destruction of property elsewhere was exactly what he needed to keep them out of his way.

Step 2. Wuxian knew he couldn't flat out exclude Jin like that. He may be his endpoint but that would outwardly show he was being targeted and be a cause for alarm thus, his best bet was to infiltrate the various businesses that Jin either invested in largely or was interested in for the long run. Partnerships, associates, well known and beneficial works that he was a part off. For the last few months, they had exposed his prostitution business through an anonymous leakage, intercepted one of his smuggling shipments and redirected it to various parts of the country, kidnapping more than half of his close staff and now they were planning to close off a drug deal on his behalf. All in good faith. On the side as well, Wuxian gathered all his medical records since his high school days. Presidential candidate ZueZhan would be most interested to know more about his main sponsor for the election especially his mental states and real nature. It was all moving along great.

"Ok, let me repeat once again...... The 3 of you go ahead and check out the warehouse. Make sure all is going as usual and blend in. Zak and Jay, the 2 of you will intercept the next drug car along the road and take it to Jin's mansion, make sure to secure the message very well. He can't miss it. Next, Lin, Jade, Kris and I will go after the main dealer then come together to the warehouse. After that, we take the whole place down. Lastly, the 10 of you....."

" We shall attend Master Zhan's launch and make sure all goes well. Don't worry boss, we will take care of it. " the team leader answered, Wuxian nodding in return. Today was an important day for both of them and nothing could mess this up.

"Ok then. Let's break. In case of any problem, calm headquarters or...."

   "DIE TRYING!" they chorused.

"EXACTLY! LET'S GO!!" Wuzian ordered and they all moved out. Of course he didn't really mean for them to actually die on the mission but it was one of their mottos that pumped them up to do their best until the end. He cared for all 150 of them and their safety was paramount to him.

"Leaving already? Good. Lord knows I can't trust those lot of people in my house. Honestly Wuxian, I think you're going overboard with how comfortable you're here." Jiang Cheng mentioned as he stood by the door. He was dressed elegantly in rich purple, his hair tied up in a bun. He was about to leave to attend Lan Zhan's launch party of the AI car. It was finally ready to be released.
