      ~ 3 Months Later~

The Lan - Wei wedding was one of the most anticipated and awaited event of the year, drawing in attendees from the global world as it became an international issue. They held two weddings; one in Canada due to the legal constrictions in China against lgbtqia marriage that only their close friends and family attended. It was at the Attorny General's office, a small hush hush arrangement for the pair since it was well rushed. However, their 2nd wedding was the one that took centre stage as it was the traditional setting and deal of it all.

Taking place in Spring, the two would be blessed in an intimate ceremony where they would stand at the family altar and pay their respects to nature, family ancestors and deities.

They would initiate  with a procession walk which originally was where the bride got escorted to the groom's home from hers. Wuxian would be collected from Jiang Cheng's place as that was where he regarded as home and he would be escorted all the way to the Lan Estate. They had decided to switch things up though as they opted for him riding an ornamental and purified donkey with Lan Zhan pulling him along the streets where the people would wish them well. The Mayor of the town had issued all the businesses and shops to be closed down on the auspicious day almost making it a holiday. Over 500 people had been invited, thousands of gifts sent from all over.

It resembled a spring flower festival as people lined up decorations on every house street, path and corner. Petals of all kinds were thrown towards the main road so that the grooms would have a prosperous and beautiful path to walk on.

A sweet tune carried as the 2 men walked on slowly, Lan Zhan at the front, leading the donkey gently by the reins as Wuxian sat atop, playing his flute behind his joyful smile. The estingushed gentlemen were dorned in bright red wedding Hanfus that flowed out like gowns and tresses behind them. The gold and black  designs on them never seen before, the details on them each hand sown. It had taken a total of 30 handtailors to finish this tall order of magnificence.

Gold, Ruby and emerald accessories hung off their heads, face, necks and hands. They sparkled like the stars, shining past all who saw them. Wuxian played an unknown song, the notes just reflecting what he had in his heart and it made Lan Zhan smile as happy as he could be. It would take 2 hours  to get there now that they were on foot but it was meaningful to them and their family. People shouted out towards them as they marched through the uphill towards their new home.

The shouts grew louder as they approached, their guests lining from the gates of the estate into the inside. They had outdone with the number and capacity accommodation but that was an event that you simply couldn't miss. The applause was thunderous as they reached the path that lead to the family altar. Lan Zhan helped Wuxian down, before they walked in hand in hand, standing before the traditional priest who blessed and officiated over them. It was soon followed by their vows and drinking from the same cup before they went up to officially introduce Wuxian to their family ancestors and write his name down in the family book. Once it was all done, they bowed towards each other, the first stage over.

Jubilation and celebration quickly followed by as the pair switched to the second wedding outfits that were purely white Hanfus with silver lines running across and over. The 2nd stage was the tea ceremony in which they would serve both sides of the family in a respectful and honorable manner. Feng and Qiren had flown in for the occasion, both present as the new generation took over. They presented on their knees, their parents accepting as they blessed them in return. They then turned to Wuxian's side to which Jiang Cheng, Wen Ning and Jin Ling stood in as representatives. He had spent  qualitative and quantitative amounts of time with the both of them so it was fitting. It was all done afterwards and then came time for the feast and banquet. Usher in outfit number 3 ;Velvet tuxedoes of sacramento green that were a mix of the traditional Hanfu designs and the western suit. They were out shining everyone within vicinity.
