I borrowed John's yellow Corvette convertible and drove to Maggie's school. I parked the car across the street from the entrance and waited for Mag to finish her classes. In the meantime, I checked myself out in the rearview mirror, fixed my hair and put my Ray-Ban sunglasses back on.
A couple of minutes later kids started walking out of the building. I immediately spotted my beautiful Mag, dressed in black skinny jeans and the Rolling Stones' crop top.
"Hey, Maggie, isn't that your super famous boyfriend? I bet he's gonna buy you a fancy car like this if you give him a great blowjob." One girl shouted to Mag.
"Shut up, Mary!" Maggie replied.
"I thought you broke up with him?" Another girl yelled.
"No, I didn't!" Mag said.
"I've read that's he's cheated on you with a Brazilian chick!"
"You shouldn't believe everything you find on the internet." Mag said, giving her the middle finger, and just walked away.
Maggie grinned at me as she got closer to my car.
"Wow, you've made quite an impression on my friends." She told me.
"Didn't I impress you as well?" I asked, smiling back at her.
"I'm not that easy to impress, Mr Klinghoffer." Mag said.
She got closer to me and started kissing me. I kissed her back, even though I knew I shouldn't have. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to make out with my girlfriend in front of her jealous friends and the whole school, but I knew that it could get me in some big trouble.
"Let's continue this at home, babe." I pulled away and said.
Mag licked her lips and hopped into the car.

I drove us to my place as I wanted to be alone with her.
"I'm sorry for the mess, I haven't been here for a while." I said.
All of the furniture was covered in a thick layer of dust and my clothes were scattered everywhere. After the tour I spent only one day at home and didn't even bother to start cleaning.
"So... Did you pass your driving test?" I finally asked.
Mag stayed silent and sat down on the couch. Oh no, it must mean that she didn't pass the test...
"Honey, I'm sorry..." I said as I sat next to her and put my hand on her thigh.
"I'm just kidding! Yes, I passed the test! Did you doubt my skills, Josh?" Maggie told me and smiled widely.
"Not for a single second, babe! Congratulations! You're so smart and talented, Maggie." I said and gave her a kiss.
"You'll no longer have to drive me everywhere!"
"But I love doing it! And I love it when we sing all those stupid songs at the top of our lungs with the windows rolled down!"
"Aww, Josh, aren't you the sweetest?"
"I'm so fucking happy when I'm with you. You're the only person who understands me. Promise me you'll never break up with me again." I said, looking her in the eyes.
"I promise, baby. That was the stupidest mistake I've ever made."
We preceded to make love and it felt just as magical as I remembered it. Afterwards, we stayed in bed for hours just talking and cuddling.

As I got back to John's place for dinner, I learnt that he was playing a show the following day. I wish I knew that sooner. I loved the atmosphere at John's private shows as he always invited only his closest friends and the tickets were available to a small group of people from his fanclub.
"Would you like to play with me?" Dad asked me.
"Oh, I didn't think you'd ask. Sure, I'd love that, you know how much I adore playing with you. But the show is tomorrow and I won't have time to practice. I forgot how to play your songs..." I said.
"But we're not gonna play any of my songs." John cut me off and said.
"Oh, that's cool then. I miss our jams."
"Me too. You don't know how happy it makes me to have a son who loves playing with me."
"Come on, you're the greatest guitarists in the world! People would kill for a chance to jam with you! Sometimes when I think about it, I still can't believe that you're my dad. I'm so lucky."
"And I have the most talented and beautiful son. You'll make it bigger than me, Josh. I know you will." John told me.

I was standing on the stage next to John, Flea and Chad, who wanted to join us. I couldn't believe that I was there. I was super thrilled to play that night.
"Thank you so much for coming. Merry Christmas. I wanted this show to be a present for my fans. I hope you're gonna have a great time. So, listen. This show's gonna be different. We didn't rehearse because we want you to choose what we're gonna play tonight. Alright? Great, gimme your suggestions!" John said to the crowd and they went nuts.
We heard all kinds of artists being mentioned: Metallica, Queen, Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction...
"Did I hear someone say Phil Collins?" John asked.
I saw the sparkles in his eyes and I remembered how many times me and John danced to "Easy Lover", "Jesus He Knows Me" and played the drum solo from "In The Air Tonight".
"Hell yeah!" I yelled.
Of course, Flea started clapping and goofed around with Chad. In the meantime, I set up the drum machine and sat behind the keyboard.
My beautiful Maggie was in the first row along with the rest of family and friends. She looked beautiful in her oversized Chilli Peppers tshirt tied into a knot and skinny ripped jeans. I had to take my eyes off her for a moment because I couldn't concentrate on what I was supposed to play.
I was so fucking impressed with how we totally nailed the into to "In The Air Tonight". I had chills when John started singing as his voice resonated in the venue.
