Through the whole ride back to LA we were singing 70s pop and honking at other cars.

- John, Josh, stop acting like kids!

Lilly screamed from the back seat.

- What? I can't hear you!

I answered and continued to sing 'I will survive'.

- John Anthony Frusciante, shut the fuck up!

Emily suddenly shouted. It was the loudest scream I ever heard. We both jumped in our sits.

- And you, Josh Adam Klinghoffer, shut up as well!

Lilly screamed after her.

- Fine, sorry.

Dad said quietly, looking at me and giggling.

- Do you want me to give birth in this car? I need to sleep and relax!

- Right, baby, I'm really sorry. Please, hold on until we get home.

John seemed to be really concerned.

- Em, don't scare him!

I heard Lilly saying.

One day later we got a phone call in the middle of the night.

'Lilly, Em says that she's having some back pains. Is she in labor yet? Should I drive her to the hospital?'

Dad sounded terrified.

'No, John, tell her to relax and go to sleep. Just wait until her waters break or the contractions get worse.'

'Ok, fine. Sorry for waking you up.'

'No problem. Just stay calm.'

She hung up and went back to bed.

- Jeez, he's so worried. I'm sure he's gonna call again in 10 minutes.

- Nah, I told him to go to sleep.

- Yeah, and you think that he'll listen?

- I hope so. It's 4 in the morning. Let's go to sleep too.

She cuddled into my chest and we fell asleep. 15 minutes later there was another phone.

- Fuck, he's insane!

I swore, rubbing my eyes.

'Lilly, there's something leaking!'

I heard dad screaming.

'From where?'

'Her vagina!'

'Oh my God, that's it. You're gonna have a baby! Get her to the hospital, we are gonna be there as soon as possible.'

He ended the call and Lilly looked at me.

- Aww, your sister is going to be born soon!

She exclaimed, jumping at me.

- You're gonna break my ribs!

I winced.

- Aren't you excited? Come on, get up, we have to go!

5 minutes later we were in the car with our baby still asleep.

- I still remember how I had to travel to get to the hospital before Johnny was born.
