On Monday evening I went to Maggie's house to invite her to the concert I'd be playing with John. I took two tickets with me, in case her mom wanted to go as well.

I knocked on her door and Mrs Hill opened them.

- Oh, welcome Josh! You're just on time for dinner!

She said and let me inside. Maggie showed up in the hall and hugged me.

- I don't wanna bother you. I just came to ask if you would like to come to a concert I'm playing this Saturday. I'll be very happy if you do.

I said, looking at Maggie.

- I didn't know you're a musician, Josh!

Her mom told me.

- Wow! Mom, can I go? Please!

Maggie asked. She was really excited.

- I don't know, baby. You've never been to any concert before...

Mrs Hill hesitated.

- Exactly!

Mag exclaimed.

- You can go together. I brought you two tickets.

I said, giving them the passes.

- Really? Oh Maggie, I guess we're gonna have some good time this weekend!

Christine said and hugged her daughter. Me and Maggie started to laugh.

- Come on, Josh, have dinner with us. I've cooked lasagna.

Mrs Hills proposed.

- Lasagna? I can't say no to that. My dad's half of family is Italian, you know, it's in my genes.

I told Maggie's mom.

- So you're half Italian? That's so cool!

She responded.

- Is that your first concert?

Mrs Hill asked me after the dinner.

- No, it's not. I've played some before.

I answered.

- Tell her!

Maggie told me and gave me a little nudge.
Her mom looked at us with a surprised face.

- Are you guys a couple?!

She exclaimed.

- No, mom!

Maggie answered and I just laughed.

- Okay, I guess it's no secret. You'd find out sooner or later, Mrs Hill.

I said.

- Oh God, now I'm scared. What is it?

Her reaction was priceless. I couldn't wait to see the relief on her face when I told her what I meant.

- Don't worry. I just want to tell you that it's not my first concert because... I'm a guitarist in quite a well-known band called the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I've toured with them twice, now we're doing a third tour together.

- Whoa, I'd never guess! My husband really liked that band. Your dad must be really proud of you! You've came so far despite your young age.

- Oh yeah, he is. But he was the one who introduced me to the band and wanted me to play with them...

- Mom, his dad is a guitarist in that band too. A great one. He's really famous. So is Josh.
