On Saturday John and Emily came over for dinner. John told me he booked a venue for the following week. He wanted us to play a show there. Just him, me and synthesizers. I loved that idea.

On Sunday I had been sitting at home with Johnny all day. It was already 3 PM when I heard a knock on the door.
I left Johnny playing with his toys in the living room and went to check who it was.

- Hi Josh. I wanted to give you back the records you borrowed me.

Maggie said as soon as I opened. I went outside and closed the door behind me.

- Hey. You can have them if you want. I've listened to them so many times before.

- Um, okay. Could I come in?

She asked and looked at me suspiciously. I was standing with my back against the door.

- Oh, I... Well... I'm not alone at the moment. I'm sorry.

I said and felt my face getting red.

- I see. I'm wishing you both all the best. I'll go now. I don't wanna be taking your time. She's gonna be jealous. Bye Josh.

Maggie said and walked away. She looked really say.

- Wait, Maggie! There's no woman inside. Just my son. You can come in if you want to meet him.

I shouted. She turned around and smiled.

- Can I?

She asked.

- Sure.

- That's awesome. I love babies.

I let her inside and locked the door.

- John, come here, baby.

I called my son. He ran to the hall with a plastic car in his hand.

- Oh my gosh, he's so freaking cute!

Mag exclaimed when she saw him. I was scared of Johnny's reaction. But he smiled, ran to Maggie and hugged her leg.

- Hey, he likes you. This is Maggie. Give her a kiss.

I told him and Maggie squatted down. John kissed her cheek and wrapped his arms around her neck.

- He wants you to pick him up.

I explained. Maggie stood up, holding him in her hands. He began playing with her hair, touching her nose and laughing.

- Maggie.

Johnny suddenly said.

- Yeah, Maggie, that's my name! You're so smart.

She told him and planted a kiss on his forehead.

- He's heavy, you can put him back oh the floor and we're gonna go play with cars. You love your cars, don't you, John?

I told Mag. We watched him play on the floor in silence.

- How is being a parent like? Do you regret having a child so young?

She asked me.

- I'm proud of everything he does. But if I could turn back time, I wouldn't decide to have kids yet.

- That's wise. He's so similar to you. He'll grow up to be a handsome guy.

- I'd rather he took his mom's looks. I don't want him to be bullied for being ugly.
