My grandparents were coming on Saturday. John has invited them because he needed to make an announcement. He's organized a huge dinner to tell everyone about Emily's pregnancy. All of his friends were coming, even Johnny Depp has promised to make it.
My son didn't let me sleep and I was exhausted but I needed to pick Gail and John up from the airport.

I lazily walked downstairs and made myself a cup of strong coffee. I could hear my baby crying and Lilly singing lullabies to him. He was teething and we were looking like zombies after a few sleepless nights.

I took the car keys and drove to LAX airport.

- Good morning Josh!

My grandma said, giving me a kiss on the cheek. I gave grandpa a hug and we started to walk towards my car.

- It's so nice to see you again.

I said.

- How are you doing? Is everything alright?

- Yes, I'm well, why are you asking?

- You don't look too good.

- And you're wearing pajamas and slippers.

Oh shit. I looked down and noticed flip flops on my feet.

- Shit, I'm sorry, Johnny is crying all the time, me and Lilly are exhausted.

- Have you seen the pediatrician?

- Yes, he's fine, he's just teething. It's so frustrating that I can't help him.

- You're such a good father. I'm really proud of you, baby.

As much as I would love to tell them about Emily's pregnancy, I knew I couldn't.

It was already Sunday afternoon. Grandparents had been taking care of Johnny so me and Lilly could help my dad with organising his party.
He rented a small bar. It had a nice stage and he wanted me to plug in his guitars, amplifiers, pedals and microphone there. He was preparing something special.
Meanwhile, Lilly was moving the tables and placing decorations on them.

- Baby, did you talk to Emily about it?

I asked my wife when we were done. We still had plenty of time left.

- No, she has no idea John is doing this. You know what I think...

- Yeah, he's gonna propose to her. I knew it.

- Exactly. She deserves it. She's so in love with him.

- So is he. And me. In you, of course.

- Oh Joshy, I actually believe you.

- I could have tried harder when I was proposing to you. I could also rent a nice cosy place, I'm such a dumb ass.

- No, you could not, my dumb ass.

- Hey, that wasn't nice!

- Shh, let me finish!

She said, wrapping her arms around my neck.

- Fine baby...

I said with a low voice and began to kiss her neck.

- That night was just perfect. I didn't expect you to do that. I was so stressed, I wanted to tell you about the pregnancy but I was so scared. And now look, Johnny is with us, everyone's happy, we are still together. It couldn't be better.
