A thud on my window got me looking up from the equation I was solving. I stood up and opened the window, looking down I saw Ace there, a pizza box in his hand. I moved aside and he climbed in.
"Hey, what are you doing here? It's late." I looked at the time on my bedside clock and it read past twelve.
"I know," he sat on the floor placing the box beside him. I sat, the box sitting between us.
Opening the box he took a slice and I followed suit looking at him skeptically.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He turned to me.
"Why wouldn't I? You show up late at my house with a box of pizza and you expect me not to look at you?" I quirked a brow.
"Do I need an excuse to come see my girlfriend?" He quirked a brow and my heart fluttered at his words. I had never been referred to as someone's girlfriend. "Plus, I want to talk to you about something, well wanted to" he said while looking away.
"Tell me now." I nodded, waiting for him to speak.
"If you didn't hear me, I said I wanted to. I changed my mind on the way here." He finished the slice in his hand.
I groaned, "then why tell me you wanted to tell me something when you're not going to tell me now?"
He shrugged in response. Silence followed and I finished the slice in my hand before speaking again.
"I'm sorry for what Callum did and said today." I finally let it out, the weight on my chest going with it.
"It's fine, it's not your fault." He turned to me again and reached for my hand.
"It is, I shouldn't be keeping us a secret." I dropped my head.
"And like I said, it's fine Olivia just make sure Callum doesn't touch me next time because I won't be so kind again." He lifted my chin up, forcing me to meet his gaze.
I chuckled, "noted."
"Come on, you need to rest," he stood up and helped me stand up, he put me into bed.
