Y/n's pov.  

" We have volunteers to get some more supplies in the city, they should arrive back by tonight, and maybe they have some tuna for you " I said, Kawaii-chan ears perks up and the yarn drops from my mouth.

I giggle as she smiles.

" What about sardines?! " She asked.

" Sardines too " I said, she squeals and lie back down on her bed playing with the yarn ball.

" Kawaii-chan! " The door slides and see Xelora rushing in.

" Xelora-chan? " Kc asked.

" Look what I got us?! " She holds up a ribbon with bells.

" Bells? " I asked.

" Their lucky bells! " She jingles them then hop onto the bed with Kc.

I notice her left horn on her head is chipped and shorter than the left, with her reptile tail going up and down in excitement.

" Also!, I found some videos for us to watch together! " She takes a tablet.

" You two have fun " I said and pet the both of them before I leave.

Xelora has been amazing to Kc, they're practically best friends right now, Amber told me Xelora's six years old and turning seven in a few more months but I don't think that matters.

At least they're happy.

" Rawr " I furrow my eyebrows then turn around to the adorable high pitched voice and I see Finnegan sitting down on the floor where the carpet is.

Beatrix and Charlie is with him along with their toys.

" What did you just say? " I approach them and Finnegan giggle.

He starts making sounds like an actual fox laughing, I chuckle and gasp as my heart melts kneeling down next to him.

" Rawr! " I said then tickle him and he continues to laugh.

They're a few months old but they look four years old, I see Beatrix eating her carrot with her hands and Charlie is blowing the air with his spit. I assume he's practicing to whistle, I chuckle and Finnegan got up running off to the big pillows diving down under.

Now that I'm sitting here, I just realize Beatrix' ears aren't as floppy as before, it's straight up on her head.

" Look who's happy to eat their carrots " I place my hand on her ears and she looks at me while munching.

" Carrots " she spoke in a soft tone, I gasp.

" Is that your first word?! " I pick her up by under the arms.

" What was your first word? " I asked in a childish tone with her looking at me in her dress.

" Carrots " she said, I giggle and hug her.

" Beatrix said her first word! " I let go of her as she starts giggling with me.

I squeal and set her down, tapping her nose lightly and I change my attention to Charlie who is still spitting and it's a good thing there's a bib on him.

" Charlie, come here " I extend my arms and the cockatoo turns to me with his tongue out.

I whistle angelically and he got up running to me with a smile, I pick him up on my lap then wipe his mouth lips.

" You'll get there soon " I said as I comb his blonde hair with my fingers.

" He's been spitting a lot that his mouth goes dry " I look it see Katelyn approaching with a baby bottle filled with water.
