Y/n's pov.  

We're going to crash!

I gasp and my body just shake, feeling sweat all over my forehead a long with my hands, my eyes are wide awake and the first thing I see is my prosthetic cyber leg next on the bedside table when a throbbing pain is on my right leg.

I sit up as the blanket falls, leaving me in my top, I move away the blanket where I'm in my shorts and the throbbing pain is just under my right leg where the missing limb is.

I put my hand on the sheets then grip it, I wince and the pain is still there, I then felt a touch on my back, I look over my shoulder to see Laurence half awake with one eye open.

" What's wrong? " He asked.

" Nothing, just go back to sleep " I said and look back at my leg.

I bite my bottom lip to how the pain is getting intense, I exhale and move to the edge of the bed.

" Something's wrong, what is it? " I hear him asked and getting up.

" It's fine " I said and grip the bedside table.

I stand up and look down as the pain is still there.

" Is it phantom limb pain? " He asked as I see him walking around the bed scratching his head.

" Really, just go back to sleep, it'll go away in a minute– "

" Sit " he said, I sigh and sit down as he kneel down in front of me.

He lifts my thigh and has his hand under my knee.

" There's nothing there " he said.

" I can see that, and remember quietly vividly how it was crushed. . . .by a jetling " I smile, he tilt his head to the side and I sigh again.

" Just give me the mirror " I pointed to the body mirror hanging.

" For what? " He asked as he stand up and walk over to it.

" It's a thing umm. . . .Claude always do it with his arm when he has phantom pain, It's called mirror therapy or something, Amber told me to try it if this happens " I said.

He brings it over here and I have it in between my legs, he switches on the lamp and I look at the reflection of my left leg, I stare at it as the pain is reducing a little.

" Is it helping? " Laurence asked

" A little " I said and move my hair out of my face.

" Hey " he takes my hand and I look up at him.

" We go through things together " he said.

" Don't go there yet, soon enough it'll be annoying to wake up every night just because of a pain I'm experiencing on a limb that's not even there " I said.

" Everyone goes through everything, and trying to get on the same page " he said.

" I get that " I said.

" Just try to deal with this and we'll see Amber first thing in the morning " he said, I hum response as he get up and walk away.

" Where are you going? " I asked as he open the door.

" I'm getting something to eat " he said.

" In the middle of the night? " I asked.

" Well, we're both awake and I don't think we're sleeping again so, I'm getting us snacks " he said, I snicker.
