Y/n's pov.  

" Well that sucks " I said as I see Ryder holding Amber's voice box which is malfunctioning and we can hear the distorted sound.

Amber then starts doing sign language.

" She accidentally dropped it in the bathtub when trying to take it off and wasn't quick enough to take it out " Laurence translates.

Amber continues.

" She also tried the back up voice box but it's too old and dusty to work " he said, Ryder hums.

" Don't worry, i'll try to fix it. . .when the power is back on " Ryder smile, Amber let out an exhale.

" I know, winter sucks but it's the best we can do in this situation " Laurence said.

She frustratingly signed.

" What does that mean? " I asked.

" She's worried about the hybrids " Laurence said.

" Don't worry, I'll make sure Xelora and Kawaii-chan can take care of them " I said and she signs again.

" She's not worried about that, she's worried about how she's going to communicate with them "

" Oh, well. . . .I'm sure they're fine, just use a tablet to write, I mean, your hearing aids are still working " I said.

She gives me a blank expression, I nervously laugh before she signs.

" Well at least help me find Beatrix' dick? " Laurence translates.

Ryder and I look at Amber who's repeatedly doing a sign over and over in frustration before grabbing Laurence collar and shaking him aggressively.

" Doll!, Doll!, I misread that!, Okay!, Stop it! " Laurence pry her hands off and she looks away with folded arms.

" Ha! " I laugh and the boys look at me.

" I like silent Amber, she expresses more of her feelings with anger " I smile, she then glares at me and I drop my smile.

" We'll find the doll " I said.

She rolls her eyes and walk away putting her hands in the pocket of her jacket and leave the hangar.

" I take everything back, she's scarier than authority issues " I said.

" Authority issues? " Ryder asked.

" Our mom has it " Calvin said and I look down at my brother who's currently fixing the ankle of the prosthetic.

Apparently it was so cold last night that it rusted real quick.

" Aren't you supposed to fix the fuse? " Laurence asked.

" Claude can do it " Calvin said and put down my prosthetic.

" There, test it out " he stands and I take his hand as he pull me up from the seat.

I step forward and back in one place as the feeling is a little better.

" Thank you " I said and he hums walking away.

" They're so happy while we freeze to death " I turn around to where Ryder is looking.

Outside the hangar where we see the kids are just playing on the snow making snowman's and having snowball fights, as for Finnegan he's just burrowing under the thick snow and popping up in random places.

" I wish I have a winter coat skin " I said and turn around approaching the table where there's some used plates and cups.

I sit down on a chair and grab the jar of candy in the middle of the table, turning it around, I try to find the one I want.
