Y/n's pov.

" Finnegan!, Slow down! " I turn around as I put on my jacket then see Beatrix running after the hybrid fox who's burrowing through the snow and making a path on the surface.

I hear more giggles and Finn's head pops up with a pile of snow on his head and nose, he laughs then start playing with the snow more and Beatrix trying to catch up to him.

It's finally snowing and winter's here, the hybrids are having too much fun.

" Y/n-sama, Claude-kun made hot cocoa " I turn to see Kc with a tray in her hands and in her pink coat.

" Thanks " I said and take an F/c mug.

I lightly blow the steam and take a sip, I exhale when the hot and sweet taste goes down my throat. I stand here leaning back against the wall with my leg up and watch the hybrids playing in the snow, it goes the same with Xelora who is currently making a snowman, also noticing Beatrix stealing the carrot packages.

" It's your first winter here " I look to my right and see Laurence approaching me in his warm clothes with his mug in hand, I can smell it's coffee.

" What do you think of it? " He asked then lean back against the wall and I look back at the kids.

A small table in between us.

" It's not that bad, thought it would be worse but I suppose we'll see in the future " I said and we both sip on our drink at the same time.

" Well, it does get worse, if I remember, it was two winters ago that the power in this place shut down " he said.

" Wow, must've been that bad huh? " I asked, he shrugs.

" At least we stayed warm " he said, I drink my cocoa and notice him glancing at me from the corner of my eye.

" How's Kate? " He asked.

" She's fine, the morning sickness subsided, Gina's giving pregnancy advices "

I hold my mug with both of my hands and swallow my cocoa, I slightly turn my head and see he has his hand in his pocket while the other holds his mug but his fingers went through the handle.

" Your burning your hand " I said, he chuckles.

" I've gotten used to the heat ten minutes ago " he said.

" Claude made all of us cocoa, why are you drinking coffee? " I asked.

" Because I wanted to and I woke up early but my brain wasn't, so I have to take some " he said, I scoff.

" Reminds me of a prick once, he loves coffee, can smell it on his breath from miles away " I said

" How much of a prick is he that you still remember him? " He asked, I sigh.

" Let me see. . . . " My eyes look up trying to remember it.

Then it hit me.

" Oh yeah, he was a cannibal " I look up at him and notice he almost choked on his coffee but plays it off.

" Apparently he drinks coffee to cover the smell of the last girl he just devoured, shot him in the head for it " I said.

" Ugh " he said in disgust.

" I know, I gave a good kick in the balls before I stab him. . . . " I said.

" Serves him right I guess " he said.

" . . .36 times " I finish.

We both sip on our drinks again and look back at the kids, I lean my head back against the wall and look up at the sky which is not bright, partly cloudy.
