⚠️TW!! Weapons!!⚠️

Luciana

He's grown too powerful.

For the first time in over a millennium, I felt...weak. Roselia and her family have fallen to his power after I sent them off. I was a fool. I should've known that he would pull something like this. I was a disgrace to the Emerson family. All of the negative thoughts filled my head as I sat in the glass box I made for myself as a final effort to protect the others from me. I tried my best to ignore the fact that the ruby red heart on my staff was slowly starting to turn black.

I was Luciana. The peaceful one of the Guardians. I didn't want vengeance against animals. I wanted peace. And in a way, I had earned it. However, it was oddly peaceful just for me, and that wasn't enough. He, on the other hand, was a dangerous entity. He was iniquitous. I had known him for over five centuries, yet I still had no idea what happened to him, what changed him into what he was now. I still questioned it to this day.

We weren't the best of friends, of course, but we weren't enemies either.

I let out a heavy and shaky sigh. I was a horrible guardian. What did my master see in me? Why would they leave me with such amazing Guardians like Forrester and Alessandra? Why would they make me a Guardian in the first place? I was perfectly content merely being a servant for them. The day that I was chosen to join their ranks, I genuinely believed that I would die again. From then on, I was known as Luciana Noelle Emerson, The Peaceful.

My gaze then turned to the two notes that had appeared before me suddenly what felt like hours ago. The second after I finished reading them, I knew that they were about him. "They warned me, but he told me...he offered...I did it, and this is how I am repaid? With insufferable pain and guilt? These burdens are far too much for me to carry. Now, he won't go away...he never does. He'll get what he deserves, I know it," the first note read.

I should've known.

I should've known that he would be the only one capable of doing something like this. He did have a thing for bargaining and manipulation, after all. Mr.P was so desperate to save his wife, it was no surprise that he accepted a deal with my enemy. However, that didn't change the fact that the entirety of Lucella, maybe even the whole world, went up in flames. The last line of the note was similar to the oath I took. He would pay for what he did to my home. I know that Lucinda would make sure of it.

The second note gave me more intel on his past. "They neglected me, but I don't need them. I've found a friend. Then, they banished me, but I found a place. I did not want what we had to end, so I gave him a face. So, just like their lips, they are sealed. Now, I may finally be healed. The world will be ours," the second note said. Of course, I wasn't sure whether this was in his perspective or someone else's, but I knew that it involved him somehow, in someway.

I knew that Lucinda had found some notes revolving around him, too. It would only be a matter of time before he starts leaving discrete signals that he is there, watching, listening, waiting. In addition, Lucinda had yet to encounter him, and I knew that he would try to pull the same stunt he did to me on her. "No...she won't fall for his tricks," I reassured myself, "She is dead set on finding a cure, he'll be of no interest to her."

How much time had passed since I entrapped myself here? It felt like it at been years since I last saw Forrester and Alessandra. I had entrusted them to be able to alert the other Guardians about his arrival while making up for my sudden absence in the process. With the infection going on, I didn't live up to my title. I sighed before picking up my staff and changing my focus to the two notes I had read and analyzed. I pointed the gemstone towards the notes.
