️TW!! DEATH + GUNS⚠️

Lucinda

A screwdriver sat inside of the vault that once had a purple lock.

I grabbed it and made my way up the stairs, continuing to head to my left. I went up the stairs across the platforms that led back to the conveyor belts. Once I was there, I ran up to the box that Filip was in and tightened my grip on the red screwdriver. Using said tool, I managed to get the screw out of the door. I dropped it and the screwdriver onto the ground before I forced the door open. Inside was Filip, sitting on the ground reevaluating his life choices.

He immediately stood up when he noticed me. "Errr... don't ask me how I got stuck in here, kid," he said. "Thanks for letting me out, though." Despite my confusion, I nodded at him. "Come on, let's get you out of here," I responded while gesturing for him to follow me. Before leaving the room, I noticed an axe on a shelf nearby. I took it before leading Filip out of the room. He followed me through the storage room like a lost puppy before we made it back to Pony, who was standing by the exit.

That was half of them.

I watched Pony and Filip go out of the exit before turning around and heading back into the storage room. I was thankful that Baren was stuck so close to the exit. That meant less work for my already tired legs. I went down the storage room's stairs and ran to the top corner on my right. Baren was still holding onto the box, so I used my axe to cut it in half, sending wood chips flying everywhere. The bear was covered head to toe in sweat as he looked down at me.

"I owe you one, kiddo. Don't know how these boxes fell like this," he explained as he put his hand on top of my head gently. It was awkward to say the least, but I allowed for him to continue. Once he was done, I helped him out of the storage room before handing him off to Pony. I made sure that the two of them made it out safely before going back to rescue the other two. I ran to the stairs before going up to the highest platform. I went through the door and noticed a shovel on another cart to my left.

I grabbed it and turned around before running across the platform and all the way down the stairs. It had been more convenient that the shovel was closer since Kitty was in more danger than Felix. I ran up to the former and started scooping the heavier bricks off of her with the shovel. Once they were all off, Kitty managed to get up on her own. She was covered in dirt, though. She let out a sigh of relief as she dusted herself off as best as she could. Once she was done, she turned to me with a smile.

"Thanks for the help, Lucinda," she began. "But... how'd all these bricks just fall on me? We maintain this place well!" I looked up at where the bricks once were. "Not well enough, it seems," I muttered under my breath. However, I realized shortly after that Kitty had a point. Pandy being on painting duty was enough to tell me that they cleaned this place top to bottom. It was odd for the factory's walls to just crumble apart out of the blue. I made a mental note to check it out once I got Felix out.

I put a hand on Kitty's arm. "Pony is waiting for you by the exit. Go to him, and he'll help you get out safely. I'll help Felix," I muttered to her. Kitty, though hesitant, nodded and made her way to the exit where Pony was indeed waiting for her. I remembered seeing scissors on the second floor bedroom, and I thought about using them to cut the fence, just as I did before back at the refinery. I sighed and readjusted Zizzy's hat and the hat pins on it before running back to the stairs.

I ran through the door and went to my left until I reached the bedrooms. As I expected, the scissors did indeed sit on the bedside table. "Great... that's all of them," I muttered under my breath before leaving the bedroom. I went through the door and across the platform before sliding down the railing of the stairs. While keeping my right hand on the railing, I ran across the buildings releasing their smoke and didn't stop until I reached the fence that was holding Felix captive.
