⚠️TW!! BOMBS!!⚠️
Lucinda
I had went to bed last night without giving yesterday's events another thought.
While I was in the bathroom, I had officially decided that nothing mattered to me anymore. I didn't care what the others thought of me. I didn't care about how much blood I had spilled or would have to spill in order to survive. I just... didn't care. I opted to no longer wear the tie and hair tie I got from Doggy and Bunny respectively. It was about time that I let them go, too. I now had my usual black tie in my braided tendril, and I also wore my white button up. I still wore my sister's trench, though. It was cold.
When the sound of a bomb exploding rung in my ears, I assumed I was still dreaming.
That was until the blanket that covered my body was ripped off. My eye snapped open and turned to the front of my bed, and I saw Georgie holding the blanket before dropping it and flailing his arms around. "Come on, wake up already, Cindy! We need to get out of here!" He cried. I groaned at my best friend in annoyance as I sat up and rubbed my head. I was still in my tank top, but I exchanged my jeans for soft pajama pants.
"W... What was that sound?" I asked in my raspy voice. "What's going on?" I quickly climbed out of bed and ran up to Georgie, who shook his head vigorously. "I don't know what that sound was, but I don't want to stick around to find out!" He replied. "Okay, first of all..." I began before gently pushing Georgie out of the room. "...a little privacy please!" I shut the door and made sure to lock it. I wasn't about to go out in the cold in a tank top and pajama pants.
I quickly got changed into my usual attire; Rose's trench coat with the three police badges, blue jeans, black socks and boots, my belt that had my swords and gun already in their holsters, and Zizzy's hat. I slipped my button up over my head, and kept the tie and hair tie in my rucksack, braiding my tendril with a black tie instead. I quickly grabbed Luna and anything I would need and shoved them inside. I was about to pick my rucksack up and swing it over my shoulder, but I stopped once I grasped the strap. The bunny and dog keychains on the zipper were sentimental.
I had lost another friend, so I know what I needed to do.
I dug into the smallest pocket of my rucksack until I found the zebra keychain. I let out a sigh as I took it out and attached it to the same zipper as the other two keychains were. It was kind of like a way for me to carry my lost friends with me. Once I finished, I closed my rucksack and put it on. Then, I opened the door and found Georgie standing beside it. Suddenly, another explosion rung in my ears, and the impact caused Georgie to fall into my arms.
"You're right, Georgie," I said through deep breaths. "We need to get out of here now. Come on." With that, I ran down the hall on my right that led to the door to the stairs. Georgie was following close behind. I was about to run around the corner, when I saw something unfamiliar. The figure seemed to be in the shape of a robot rat or something. All I knew was that it didn't look friendly as it emerged from Zizzy's room.
One glimpse at it was all I needed to catch its appearance. It was a cyborg rat with a torn up brown shirt and sky blue pants. Its skin was a light shade of gray, with one of its ears looking normal while the other was a gray and spiky gear. Its right eye had a glowing white pupil while its left eye was pitch-black with a metal stripe across it. Instead of having hands, there were drills wrapped up in barbed wire. I had no clue how it got in here, but I wasn't about to let it get near Georgie.
