"This plank could probably be a bridge. I mean, it somehow held my weight every single time."

I had taken the yellow key from the bench on the stairs and brought it back to Kona's lab. After unlocking the vault, I found a hammer, which I had just used to take off the planks from the door. Now, I had to use the plank as a bridge to get to the other platform in the room where the axe was. Before I could do that, though, I needed to get the purple key from upstairs since the vault I needed to use it on was on the other platform.

I went down the bridge across from the door before heading to my right towards the center. Fortunately, the purple key was on the bench, so I took it before making my way back to the door where Robby was. Once I was there, I grabbed the plank that was on the ground and went down the corridor on my left towards the only doorway there was. My heart started to pound even faster at the sight of the axe swinging back and forth, over and over. I took a deep breath before stepping further into the room.

Stopping at the edge of the platform, I put the purple key in my pocket to grab the plank with both hands. While somehow managing to avoid the axe, I positioned the wooden plank between the two platforms and checked to make sure it was stable. Once I confirmed that it was, the only thing left for me to do was cross it and avoid getting my head cut off. I let out a shaky sigh before stepping onto the plank while keeping my eye on the swinging axe. I had to time this perfectly. Twice.

Taking one more breath, I ran forward once I felt like the time was right.

Unfortunately, I didn't time it perfectly because I heard something cut. The shock caused me to gasp before I tripped over my own feet, making me yelp. Fortunately, I managed to land on the other platform. The concrete was uncomfortable, but it was better than uneven wood, and I couldn't bring myself to get up. Eventually, I found my breath slowly starting to return back to its normal pace, and I opened my eye slowly and shortly after. Normally, my face would've been covered by the curtain known as my hair.

However, for the first time since forever, it wasn't.

Now I knew what had been cut.

My hand instantly flew to the back of my head, and I realized that my suspicions had been confirmed. No longer did my hair go down to my waist. Now, it was just below my shoulders. My mother always made comments about how she always enjoyed brushing my hair when she was still alive. All of that was cut in a matter of seconds, literally. I quickly sat up properly before crawling to the bench.

The vault could wait. It owed me that much.

Maybe I should become a hair stylist.

I managed to find a pair of scissors hidden deep at the bottom of my rucksack and opted to use them to fix my hair the best I could. It was a mess, but it would have to do. After braiding my hair tendril once more, I put the scissors back into my pocket and stood up from my place on the bench. I then walked up to the purple vault and unlocked it. I felt a slight sense of relief seeing the white key waiting for me inside.

I grabbed said key before turning around and going back to the axe, stepping over my hair in order to get to the other side safely. I went to my left and made my way down the corridor towards the exit door. It was then that I spotted the white lock hanging on the stone somehow. I chose not to question it, though. I had other things to worry about. I went up to the lock and unlocked it before turning to the strange wheel on my left. I had seen some of those patterns on the walls throughout the temple.

That meant that I needed to find them yet again.

No matter. I knew that it would be difficult and take a lot of time, but I managed to come all this way. It was too late to turn back now. I sighed before turning around and walking over the bridge in front of me. During the entire time I was here, I felt like I was being watched. I couldn't explain what it was, but it was a lingering feeling that didn't seem to go away. I had tried to push that feeling away, but it always crept back into my mind.
