Lucinda

I wondered if this was how Willow felt when she was locked up.

With only herself and the walls to keep her company, it probably drove her insane. We had been in this cell for about twelve hours, and it was starting to get boring. I had seen criminals in their cells before back at the station while visiting my family at work, but those were much smaller. I realized how ironic it would've been if they were alive. Police officers behind bars. It sounded hilarious. However, good moments can only last for so long.

I had woken up from a well-deserved nap a little over an hour ago. I had no idea that I was able to sleep for that long, but I assumed that that was that being woken up forcibly did to people. I was still a bit out of it, though. My limbs kept falling asleep and there was a sharp pain in my head that left and came back whenever it wanted to. I didn't tell the others, of course. I didn't want the walls I struggled to build to come crumbling down in an instant.

The sewer drain's cap being kicked open in the corner of the cell snapped me back to reality.

The sudden noise seemed to scare my comrades, too. Zee and Zuzy emerged from the newly opened hole on theground, much to the others' surprise. "Hey-o!" Zuzy announced with a serious expression on her face before gesturing to the sewers below. "Quick, we need one of you to come down here and help us get this cell door open!" I looked from one of my friends to the other before eliminating possible candidates.

Pony was still out of it after losing Zizzy. Giraffy and Mimi fell under the "brains" category rather than the "brawn". Georgie wanted to help, but I didn't want to put him in danger and risk losing him again. Not after everything I went through to find him in the first place. That only left me. "Alright, guess I'm going," I muttered under my breath as I stood up from my place on the bed and began to walk towards the sewer drain.

Zuzy nodded at me before she and Zee went back down the drain. Zuzy seemed to have taken my advice and sucked up the loss of her sister, just as I did back when my own was killed. Zuzy had definitely matured drastically between yesterday and today, much to everyone's surprise. I sat down on the ground, letting my legs hang over the hole into the sewers before turning to the others. "The rest of you should stay up here so no guards get suspicious," I advised. "Push that bed over the sewer drain once you close it."

"Be careful, you three," was the last thing I heard from Georgie before I followed Zee and Zuzy down the sewers. Before long, I dropped down onto the concrete floor below, and it was soon only me and the zebra sisters. Things were still awkward between us after I had given them the worst advice imaginable. The two of them seemed to catch wind on what was going through my head as I fixated my gaze on the ground below.

"You were right, Cindy."

My head immediately shot up to Zuzy as she spoke. Her expression was just as serious as my own as she spoke. "You had to suck up your family's deaths in order to stay alive to avenge them," Zuzy went on before taking her sister's hand. "Zee and I agreed that if you could do it...so could we." I wanted to look elsewhere, but I forced myself not to. Not when others were relying on me. I let out a sigh. "Remember, we're doing this for our sisters..." I reminded them.

"...Let's get that cell open. Then we'll all stop Willow together."

No one said it was going to be easy.

Zee ran infront of me and knocked out the infected alligator with her rusted pipe. I only watched from one of the sewer system's engine rooms. Earlier, I decided to go for a quick run around the area to see what I was dealing with, and I found multiple things. Turns out, we were in a two-story sewer system. I had no clue they even existed, but I knew that this would be the first and last time I would willingly go into one. It smelled disgusting down here.
