⚠️TW!! BLOOD AND GORE!!⚠️
Lucinda
"He just- He just disappeared!"
I immediately pressed my back against the wall next to the doorway as my eye widened and the grip on the orange key in my hand tightened. I was about to walk over the bear trap that was next to me casually, but I heard the moose's footsteps from the other side, so I was forced to stay back. Instead, I chose to take a peek through the doorway. Surely enough, the moose was there, but in the next moment, some purple aura had surrounded him, and he vanished.
I knew something was off with him.
Either way, he was gone now, so I could forget about him for the time being. I carefully walked over the bear trap and out of the stairwell room. I then walked across the "bridge" over the water to the door with the orange lock. Throughout all of this, I never let my guard down. I had already made that mistake more than once. After a bit, I reached the door and unlocked it with the orange key I had found earlier on a bench below the stairs.
After pulling the door open, I found myself standing infront of a wooden shelf that had a hammer sitting on it. With my mind going back to the wooden boards blocking the door, I grabbed the hammer from the shelf before leaving the small room. Once I had the tool, I walked towards the door on my right while keeping a look out for the moose. He seemed to just disappear in one place and then reappear in another.
I found myself back outside after walking through the door I had been heading towards, and I knew that I needed to get back inside as soon as possible. It seemed to be getting even foggier by the minute. I went towards my left after remembering the doorway leading to the exit door. I nearly ran into a few oil barrels, but I managed to get to the other side in one piece. As soon as I reached the door, I went inside.
All the smoke had cleared out by then, so I didn't have to worry about not being able to breathe. Once I was inside, I immediately went for the door on my right. Soon, I found myself only a few feet away from the exit once more. Tightening my grip on the hammer, I slowly made my way towards the bright red exit sign. I carefully stepped over the bear trap that was in the middle of the doorway for some reason and went straight for the wooden boards.
Using the hammer on the boards, I managed to take them both down in one go. Of course, the price I had to pay was falling down to the ground along with the boards, but at least I was closer to escaping these docks. Even after all these years, I was still as clumsy as ever. That wasn't going to be much help now. I sat up properly before rubbing my head and looking up at the door, which only had the white lock on it. I was almost there.
Now I just needed to find the white key.
Unfortunately, that was going to be a problem.
I had found the yellow key earlier, but the yellow vault was on the other side of the entire area, and there was no way to get to it. The white key had to be in the yellow vault since Pony and I had torn this entire place to the ground with no sign of it anywhere. Then it hit me. The wooden boards. I could use them as a bridge to get to the other side of the large gap that was there. I mentally facepalmed myself for not putting the pieces together before as I took the longest of the two boards.
Once I secured my grip on the board, I carried it out of the room and down the hall towards where the ladder was. After reaching said ladder, I went around it and to the edge of the platform. It was definitely a risky place to be, but I had to take my chances. I positioned the board properly between the two platforms before pushing down on it to make sure it was stable. "Okay... now I just need to get that yellow key," I thought to myself as I stood up.
