Chapter 67

~2 Years Later~

A lot has changed since I last updated. So, Connor got traded and Megan decided to finish her career and graduated early at SMU before moving out to New Jersey. Cadyn and Jason are still going strong, and he now plays for the Vancouver Canucks. Cadyn still attends SMU. Hannah and John are engaged now! Clarissa and Jamie, engaged and planning for their wedding next fall a few months after Clarissa graduates. Tyler and I are still dating and taking it slow. We've talked about marriage, but I want to wait until I'm graduated with a job before we get married, but we do live together now and have been since my junior year. We are all now second semester seniors.

"Tyler!" I scream as I was in the shower when a spider appeared out of no where.

"Jesus Susannah. I thought someone had murdered you." He runs in and looks around

"There's a spider in the shower!" I squeal as I get out with shampoo still in my hair.

"You're so lucky I love you." He laughs as he grabs a tissue before grabbing the spider and then walking across the bathroom to flush it down the toilet, "Better?" He asks laughing

"So much better." I nod laughing as I kiss his cheek before I get back in.

"This means I'm watching you now. To protect from other spiders." He decides and I laugh as he sits on the counter across from the shower and we talk as I take a long shower.

"You want to go out tonight or do you want a relaxed night?" I ask as he'd been on the road a lot, but I had just finished finals.

"I can see what Jamie's doing." He offers and I groan

"I really don't want to see him right now." I say as I go into my closet.

"What'd he do?" He asks curiously

"Cancelled my flight home. He bought it and then said Mom, Dad, Jordie, and Jenny are coming here so I don't need to go out. But like I wanted to see other friends and stuff." I explain and he nods

"Well book yourself a flight." He says

"I don't know how to." I blush as I put on some lotion before putting on a sweatshirt and leggings.

"I'll figure it out with you gorgeous." He smiles before kissing me and I nod happily.

"I love you."

"I love you more." He smiles as we go downstairs hand in hand. He pulls out his iPad and I book a flight home and back for a long weekend.

We relax on the couch and I kiss Tyler's cheek softly, "Will you be mad if I don't go to the game tomorrow?" I ask softly

"Why?" He asks and I sigh

"Kyle- my ex- has been texting me to come to the game and how he'll be great and how we should go out and I should leave you." I say rambling and Tyler rolls his eyes.

"No. Come to the game. Look hot. Hang out with the other girlfriends and wives and I'll score a hattrick for you." He chuckles as we kiss.

"Tyler." I groan

"I'm serious babe."

"Fine." I groan as we cuddle and watch a movie with the dogs basically on top of us.

I end up falling asleep on the couch and Tyler wakes me up so I'll sleep in bed with him. We end up falling back asleep quickly. The next day, Tyler goes to the arena early to get prepped and do some media. Clarissa comes over to get ready as we do every game and I rant to her about everything.

"You're just nervous to see him. I'm sure he's still a dick." She rolls her eyes and I nod agreeing.

I wear a pair of leather leggings and an oversized jersey of Tyler's with my newest dark green Chanel bag he bought me. I have my media pass and go into the locker room.

"You still mad at me?" Jamie asks as I walk in with Clarissa and I shake my head no.

"Tyler showed me how to buy a ticket, so I bought one." I say smiling

"Good." He hugs me before I go off to find my boyfriend.

"And future plans with Susannah Benn?" The interviewer asks and Tyler laughs.

"She's focusing on her career and her education right now. I'm glad I'm along for the ride." He smiles before they cut the interview.

"Cute." I tease and he laughs as he hugs me.

"I love you smartass." He teases and I laugh as we kiss.

"Score that hattrick." I smile as we hug and kiss over and over before he has to go.

I go up to the press box and hug everyone happily before I get a drink.

"Introducing the starting line up for the Arizona Coyotes." The announcer says before going down the list, "And in GOAL KYLE SMITH" The announcer yells and I visibly cringe.

"Stop worrying. He's married to that Jessica chick now and you're basically married to Tyler." Clarissa calms me down.

"It just brings up bad memories." I sigh as I take a long drink of my cocktail.

They do the announcing for the Stars, and I start to mingle with everyone else.

Tyler ends up only scoring two goals, but it's a Dallas win. I go down with everyone else as we always do after a big victory and smile.

"Sorry, coach took me out so I couldn't score three." Tyler teases and I laugh as we kiss and hug.

"That's fine. You're still my favorite hockey player." I smile as we kiss again and again.

"I have to do some press stuff. I'll see you at home?"

"Yeah." I nod as I kiss his cheek and walk off happily digging through my purse to find my keys.

"Susannah." I hear a familiar voice say and I pause.

"Hi Kyle." I say softly as I turn around.

"I was looking for you so we could catch up." He offers

"I'm good, but thanks." I nod as I walk off quickly.

"Oh come on. We can't even talk?" He says louder as I walk away.

"Dude, back off. She clearly doesn't want to talk." Jason Robertson tells him, "Go to your locker room and leave." He says again as I walk out and get into my car to drive home.

I wait for Tyler with the dogs and smile when he finally comes home.

"I heard Kyle tried to talk to you." He says as he collapses on the couch next to me.

"Jason got him away."

"Good man." He smiles and I roll my eyes as we cuddle for a bit until we both fall asleep on the couch.
