Chapter 39

Susannah's POV

"Wake me up when we land." I tell Jamie as we get on the flight back to Dallas.

"Yeah." He nods as he pulls out his iPad to watch film. I fall asleep quickly and he wakes me up as we land.

"Can we get Starbucks?" I yawn as I walk out of the plane.

"Yeah. I don't care. We have like an hour before I have to be on campus." He laughs

"For your girlfriend?" I tease as we get into his car and drive to the closest Starbucks

"Yeah. We're hanging out."

"Ooo." I giggle

"You spend every living moment with your boyfriends. Fuck off." He laughs

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask

"If you're not with Kyle. You're with Tyler." He shrugs

"You're a dick. Just stay out of my life. I told you to." I say as we get to Starbucks. We order our drinks and he pulls up into the line waiting

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He asks as we sit in line

"You have no control in my life Jamie. Just fuck off." I say as I go on my phone.

"You're such a bitch." He rolls his eyes

"I can't believe how immature you are."

"So are you."

"I'm 19. I'm allowed to be. You're 30. Oh wait, you only spend time with teenage girls and overgrown frat boys."

"Whatever." We get our drinks and go back to campus. He drops me off and Tyler's sitting outside of my dorm, "Point exactly." He says and I roll my eyes as I get out. I get my bag and smile.

"Hey Ty." I laugh as we hug and Jamie drives off

"Hey. Cassidy and I were supposed to go get lunch, but she's not answering her phone." He laughs, "And I didn't know when you were landing." He says

"Oh yeah. Come on inside." I smile as we go up. I unlock my door and we hear Liam and Cassidy arguing.

"Let's just go to the lounge." He whispers and I nod as I set my bag down in our common space before we go to the lounge by the elevator, "So, how was the trip?" He asks as I sit down next to him.

"Good. Jordie and Jamie got rings." I say and his eyes widen

"Jamie did too?"

"Yeah." I laugh

"They've been dating for six months."

"Ask Jamie."

"Why did he speed off?"

"Seeing Clarissa. Plus we're arguing." I laugh

"About what?" He asks and I sigh as I take a drink

"Just about my life." I shrug

"Oh." He nods and I laugh weakly

"Yeah. I- um, just some stuff." I say

"You don't need to explain." He laughs

"Thank you." I say smiling

"How was Jordie and Jenny?"

"She's good. He's good too. I think he's proposing soon." I laugh

"Probably. He's not good at keeping secrets."
