Chapter 48

Susannah's POV

Classes begun on that Monday, and I was exhausted. I had no motivation to go to class as I usually went because Kyle would call me or get annoyed if I wasn't there, but now he wasn't here. I drag myself there and force myself to go to all of my classes.

"What are you doing?" I get a text from Clarissa

"Nothing. Why?" I reply

"Come to my dorm." She responds right away. I go up to her dorm and knock on the door.

"Hey. What's up?" I smile as I set my backpack on the ground

"Your parents are coming in on Friday." She starts

"For real?" I ask confused

"Yeah. It's the last home Stars game of the season on Saturday."

"Well they didn't tell me they were coming. What's up with that?" I ask

"I'm meeting them. For the first time. And Jamie's going to be playing hockey the entire time."

"Oh! So I need to be a buffer." I laugh

"Yeah." She nods

"Sure." I shrug

"How are you so relaxed? I'm freaking out. What do I even wear?" She paces

"Because you'll be fine. They already like you I'm pretty sure. You'll wear what you normally wear to games. It's fine." I say

"I'm not okay." She laughs

"Everything will work out." I smile as I get a call from Jamie, "Speaking of." I giggle as I answer it, "Hello."

"Hey, what are you up to right now?" He asks

"I'm with Clarissa." I say
"Fuck. Okay, just get her and come downstairs. It's our one year anniversary of meeting each other. I'm here to surprise her."

"Aw, Jamie." I coo and he groans

"Stop. Just come downstairs."

"Do I need to do anything?"

"No. Just get her down here." He laughs before he hangs up

"What's that about?" She asks

"Come downstairs with me." I say as I grab my bag. We go downstairs and Jamie's waiting for her with flowers. I sigh happily before I go to my dorm leaving them alone.

I sigh as I walk into my room and go to my bed.

"What are you pouting about?" Cassidy asks as I play with my sheets

"Jamie and Clarissa are so cute." I sigh

"I know. They're in love." She laughs

"It's just weird. All of my siblings are getting engaged. And married! And I'm in love with two different guys." I say

"Jamie and Jordie haven't proposed yet." She laughs

"But they will soon!" I groan

"Okay, here's the other thing. Jenny is 14 years older than you. Jordie is 12 years older, and Jamie is 10. They're in different stages of life."

"I know." I agree sighing as I play with my fingers

"Don't worry. You'll figure it all out. Now, the Bruins are coming on Saturday. So, can you stay out of the dorm?"

"Cassidy!" I groan

"Just hang out with Tyler." She laughs and I roll eyes

"Yeah. Whatever. I'll just fuck your brother then!" I yell laughing
