Chapter 18

I got home from classes that day and Cassidy was waiting for me on the couch

"Hey." I smile as I walk in.

"You and Tyler broke up?" She asks a little shocked

"Yeah. I was going to tell you." I mumble as I sit down next to her.

"When did you break up?"

"This morning." I sigh

"You can't play around with him."

"I'm not."

"You so are. And it's getting annoying! I was so cool with you two dating, and this is what I fucking get." She gets up and goes into our room before shutting the door. I sigh as I play on my phone for a while. I knew I needed to give Jamie space as well, so I didn't bother texting him. He and Tyler were probably at practice as they had a game tomorrow.

I know she won't want to get dinner with me so I go over to Megan's room. Connor decides to bring us over food.
"So, why aren't you with Tyler tonight?" He asks me and I laugh as I eat my Chipotle.

"We broke up." I shrug as I play with my food and his jaw drops

"Shit." He mumbles, "You okay?"

"Yeah. I broke up with him." I say softly

"Do you want to talk about it?" Megan asks

"No. There's nothing to talk about really." I smile looking at them, "We just didn't want the same thing."

"So what are you going to do this weekend? Aren't your parents coming down?" He asks me

"Oh fuck." I groan and reach out to call Tyler to talk about the weekend, "I'll be in the hallway." I sigh as I call his phone.

"Hey. What's up?" He answers on the second ring and I laugh. I could tell he was a little buzzed.

"Nothing. I was just thinking about this weekend. Um, what do you want to do?"

"About what?" He asks

"Our parents are coming in." I say and he curses

"Let's just say we're still together. I think that's easier especially as we're going on a date in like a month. We can figure everything out after that." He says and I agree, "I'll talk to you later." He hangs up and I go back in.

"Just don't say anything to anyone." I say to Connor and Megan and they nod.

"We won't." They smile and I nod before we all eat. Connor gets a text saying that a bunch of the guys are going to a club and he was going too. Megan and him kiss before he leaves. Megan and I watch some movies before I go back to my room.

"So I got a text with Tyler and Jamie. You two are not telling our parents that you broke up?" Cassidy looks at me shocked

"Yeah. We're going out in a month to discuss everything once we've calmed down."

"You don't deserve him. I swear to God, you have to tell our parents eventually."

"Yes we will."

"No, I will seriously tell them."

"Okay." I shrug and she sighs

"I have practice. Excuse me." She storms off and I roll my eyes. I do homework until I fall asleep that night.

Tyler's POV

After Jamie and I pregame at my house, we decide to go out with the guys, just saying like we've had a hard week, so let's party. Not I want to get drunk to forget the pain I'm in.
