Chapter 42

Susannah's POV

"Alright. Let's get ready." I giggle to Ashley as we get ready and go downstairs. Tyler had left our food out and I saw his text that he had already left for the game.

"Is he gone?"

"Yeah." I smile as I eat my pasta, "We're picking up Kyle in like 30 minutes."

"Cool." She nods and we eat before we leave. I drive to campus and pick him up.

"So I have to sit in the back?" He laughs as he gets in

"Apparently." I giggle

"Yeah. Deal with it." Ashley smiles as I drive off. I get to the arena and meet the rest of his family there.

"You want to go back?" I ask Ashley once we're in our seats

"To where?" She asks

"Locker room. Come on." I laugh as I get up and she follows me. I go to a security guard who scans my ticket before he leads us down. We walk in and I hadn't realized how early we were, so most of them were putting on their gear. Shirtless.

"I am so happy." Ashley whispers to me and I laugh

"What are you doing down here?" Connor asks me before he hugs me.

"Just showing Ashley around." I smile

"I think Jamie and Tyler are making out in the shower. Comparing dicks and tattoos. Oh, and doing each others' hair." He tells me quietly so Ashley can't hear and I shake my head at him.

"You'd like that wouldn't you." I giggle

"He'd like what?" Ashley asks

"I'm good friends with his girlfriend. She's not here tonight and he's upset." I tease him

"Yeah. Because she'd rather be at a field hockey party blacking out. Why aren't you there?"

"She's with me and my family. Kyle's my brother." Ashley smiles

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that. How's everything going?"

"Well I saw a sweaty Tyler today, so I'm happy."

"And you'll see a shirtless one right now." He says and I laugh as Tyler walks over.

"Hey. What are you two doing down here?" He asks

"Just saying hello." I say and he nods before he looks at Ashley

"You want to meet everyone who wasn't at Jamie's the other night?"

"I'd love to." She laughs as they walk off together.

"What are you doing here?" Jamie asks as he walks from around the corner where Tyler just was.

"Showing Ashley around." I smile and he sighs

"Okay. Well we need to get dressed and warmed up. We have to be on the ice in 5 minutes and Tyler's not ready. You two need to leave." He says tensely

"Sorry. Yeah. We'll go back up." I nod

"You know how serious I get Sus."

"I know. Ash!" I call out and she turns around, "We have to go." I laugh as I walk over to her, "Jamie's getting pissy."

"Oh yeah. Clarissa's sick with the flu. Like throwing up everywhere. He brought her food to her dorm, and now he's scared he's sick. And he can't miss any games this season. It's a whole big deal. Oh, and they haven't had sex in weeks. So he's not happy about that either." Tyler says and I roll my eyes
