Clarissa's POV

I was so nervous. Today was the day of the last game of their road trip, which meant I was flying out to Tampa after my classes.

"So how are you feeling?" Susannah asks me as I put my weekender in her backseat before she drives off

"I'm so fucking nervous." I laugh as I look over at he

"Oh you'll be fine. You're all on the ice. I think you'll have a good time." She smiles at me

"I'm just scared about the fact my parents might not like him." I freak out, "How have parents in the past reacted to him?"

"Um, you're his first real girlfriend in a while. But, um in the past he's been really good. He's a big momma's boy and it shows. The only thing is that some parents don't do well with the whole hockey and tattoos thing." She explains

"Okay. Well his arms will be covered up when they first meet. So hopefully it'll work out." I laugh

"You'll be fine. He's so nervous too. He's so scared they're going to hate him. He'll be freaking out. When he's nervous his accent becomes so much thicker, it's hilarious." She tells me laughing as we get to the airport, "So I'll pick you up on Saturday at 1:30." She tells me

"Thank you." I laugh and we say our goodbyes before I get out. I had already checked in online so I just went straight through security to my flight.

I landed and my mom was waiting for me at the gate. I walked over to her and she hugged me tightly.

"Hi mom." I laugh

"Hi Clarissa." She smiles, "I missed you so much and it was only a month. How am I going to survive the next to?" She laughs

"I don't know mom." I say as we walk to her car. She drives us home and I immediately go see my dog. I go to my room and take a long shower just relaxing in my room. I hear a knock on my door and see my dad walking in.

"Dad!" I laugh as I walk over and he hugs me

"It's so nice to have you home. Even if it's just for a day." He smiles

"I know. I'm so happy."

"Alright, well we're leaving for the game in a few hours. The tickets arrived to the house yesterday, so he's really it laying on us. What position does he play again?" He comments and mom laughs as she walks by

"He's the captain, and he's left wing." I say

"And he's gorgeous. So there's that too." She chirps in and I blush a little bit

"You're sure you're okay with him spending the night?" I ask anxiously

"Well yeah. He's not staying in a hotel downtown. That would be rude, and besides your flight is at noon, so you'd have to pick him up and then drive back here and then I'd have to drive you back to the airport. It's complicated. Plus he's your friend's brother. We have a guest room. It'll be great." Dad explains

"Alright." I laugh everything calming down a bit.

"Well honestly I don't care if he sleeps in your room. You two are adults." Mom says, "Have you met his parents yet?"

"No. I'm meeting them at the end of April. They're coming down for the last home game." I say

"Fun. Alright. Well, I'll try to find something green in my wardrobe. Do you have any extra clothes I could borrow?"

"I just have the sweatshirt I wore on the plane, a jersey, and another sweatshirt. Everything else is in Dallas or his closet." I laugh

"I'd feel weird wearing your boyfriend's sweatshirt. I'll figure something out." She sighs as she goes to her room.
