Chapter 36

Susannah's POV

"Drop Clarissa off first. We have to talk about mom's gift." Jamie tells me and I nod as I go to SMU. We drop her off and Jamie gets out with her. They talk for a few minutes and I turn around to pet Marshall.

"He's so fucking cute. I've missed him." I giggle as I pet his head

"I didn't realize we were sharing a dog." Tyler laughs and I shrug smiling.

"I am his favorite." I laugh as I hear a knock on my window and see Kyle. I open up the door to get out and smile as we kiss happily.

"Hey." He laughs and I smile

"Hey. What's up?" I ask

"I was just on my way to practice and saw your car." He smiles before he waves to I assume Tyler, "Thought I'd say hi." He says before he kisses me again.

"What's gotten into you?" I giggle as I pull away from our kiss

"Nothing. I love you. I like showing that sometimes." He winks and I laugh as I wrap my arms around his neck as we make out for a few minutes, "Are you spending the night at Jamie's again?" He asks

"No. I'll be back." I say as I play with his hair

"Great. Do you want to come over to my room? I just need to feel you. Jarrod's gone." He laughs into my ear and I nod quickly smiling

"Yeah. I'd love to." I smile as he kisses my cheek.

"Sounds great. I'll see you tonight." I kiss him again before he runs off. I smile to myself before I get back into the car where Jamie and Tyler were both watching me, "Jesus. You two are creeps. Did you listen to everything?" I laugh as I start the car again

"Well, we had to wait for you." Jamie shrugs, "We'll ignore certain parts of the conversation that we did happen to unfortunately hear. Did you two really sleep at my place last night?" He asks

"Yes. We fell asleep on the couch and then just decided to spend the night." I laugh, "Your couch is more comfortable than our dorm room." I say

"I know." He sighs as I drive off. He and Tyler talk about the team's up and downs before I drop Tyler off.

"I'll see you at practice tomorrow, and I'll see you whenever." He tells us and I smile nodding as he gets out and grabs his bags before he walks inside his house.

"So, mom's birthday is tomorrow. You didn't send the package?" I ask as I drive back to his house and we go inside

"I sent the package before I left for the trip. I just needed to talk to you." He laughs and I groan

"About what exactly?" I ask as I get a cup of water from the kitchen

"About you and Tyler." He says and I laugh

"We're friends. That's it. I have a boyfriend, and he's been talking to Alexis from your high school." I shrug

"First of all, I'm pretty sure Alexis is an escort now. So they're not doing much talking." He laughs and I sigh

"I don't understand the worrying situation. We're just really close. We've gone through similar things." I say

"Yeah, but you literally ignore your boyfriend for him. You need to work out your priorities."

"And I will. We'll talk about it tonight." I sigh and he shrugs

"It's up to you. The longer you play around with him, the more likely you're going to get hurt." He tells me and I nod, "I'm going to get unpacked. Friday night, our flight leaves at 8. I'll pick you up around 4 so we can get food." He says and I nod
