Susannah's POV

Kyle did not call me all week. I tried to call him, but I would go to voicemail and I'd get a text an hour later saying he was busy and missed my call. I texted him a few times, and he'd reply with one or two word replies. He would occasionally snapchat me, but it was rare and just him working out.

"Okay. Fuck it. I think I'm going to sleep with Tyler." I say as I put my clothes for the next day in a weekender bag.

"Um, is that a smart idea?" Clarissa asks me laughing

"I don't know. I'm just so annoyed with Kyle. Like it feels like we for real broke up. I think he's lying about something, and he won't tell me." I sigh

"Call him?" Cadyn laughs, "Just tell him."

"Do that." Clarissa agrees and I sigh

"Fine." I give in as we go downstairs. Cassidy and I had brought over another car to make sure everyone got over. I got into Jamie's car with them and we went over. I pull into the driveway and nod, "Alright. I'm going to call Kyle." I say as we go inside. I go up to Tyler's room and sit on his bed to make the call as I knew no one would come into his room. Marshall got onto the bed and I laugh softly knowing Tyler would kill me if Marshall was in his bed. On the last ring, he picks up.

"Hey, what's up?" Kyle asks

"Nothing. I miss you, and want to talk." I say, "Are you free to talk?" I ask

"Yeah. I guess. I'm playing video games." He says and I could tell he was either annoyed or didn't want to be talking to me.

"Great. How was your day?" I ask

"Normal. Same as everyday." He sighs, "Ashley is responding to an experimental treatment. My brothers are fine, just school and stuff. My parents are working and doing their thing. How are you doing?"

"Fine. Just a lot going on down here. It's the end of the season." I say, "So my parents are coming in."

"Fun. Why are you at Tyler's house?" As soon as I hear the question I can tell why he's been avoiding me.

"I'm dog sitting with Cassidy, Cadyn, Clarissa, Megan, and Hannah. We're spending the night tonight and tomorrow."

"You're always at his house when I want to call you." He sighs

"I was literally only here on Monday, but I'm sorry." I say softly

"It's whatever. We're not dating. I don't care."

"Kyle." I groan

"What?" He snaps

"I'm going home next weekend, and I have a twelve hour layover in Minneapolis. Come visit me at the airport. I don't want to fight over the phone." I say

"Alright. Let's argue in person." He laughs a little, "I miss seeing you everyday. Text me the details. What time do you get in?"

"10 am. I miss you too." I laugh weakly

"Sounds great." He says and there's a few seconds of silence, "I need to go. My friends are picking me up."

"Okay. Yeah. I'll text you when I get all the gate information."

"Thanks. Bye." He hangs up and I sigh as I move to kiss Marshall's head. There's a knock at the door and Clarissa walks in.

"Hey." I smile as she sits down next to me.

"How was that?"

"I don't know. We decided to fight in person." I sigh, "I'm going home in next weekend for that long weekend, so I am leaving a day early to see him."
