Chapter 26

Susannah's POV

After the game, Jenny and I went back to her hotel room.

"So you and Kyle?" She raises an eyebrow

"Yes. We're not official yet. We're just hanging out." I laugh smiling as I look down

"Jamie loves him. When will you introduce him to the rest of the family?"

"Not for a little bit."

"Are you still not over Tyler?"

"Yeah. That's part of it. I've just never felt so good than when I was with him."

"Maybe Kyle will give you that feeling."

"He does, it's just not as much." I explain

"Well whatever. Go for what makes you the happiest. You know I'll support whatever you do, right?"

"Yes Jenny." I smile before she hugs me

I woke up the next morning with my phone buzzing.

"Hey." I yawn as I pick it up

"Hey, I'm leaving Minneapolis. Would you want to hang out tonight or watch a movie or something?" Kyle asks

"Yeah. I'll pick you up from the airport. Text me when your flight lands. I'm with my sister, so chances are I'll forget."

"Great. I'll see you tonight." He laughs before I hang up. I text Jamie to come and get me.

"Jenny. I have to go. I have to pick up Kyle from the airport in like 3 hours. I need to look cute. I think he's going to ask me out tonight." I say and she laughs

"Okay. Have fun. Text me the outfit options."

"I will." I smile as we walk down to get Starbucks while we wait for Jamie to pull up. We hug again before I get into his car. I hand him his drink and he smiles

"Thank you." He smiles

"Of course. I used your card to buy it, so you should be thanking yourself." I smile and he laughs

"Wouldn't expect anything different."

"Is it cool if Kyle and I hang out at the house tonight?" I ask as I play with the strings on the jersey.

"Could you hang out in the dorms? I'm getting Clarissa from the airport at like 8."

"Ew. Yes we can. I'll just need one of your cars."

"Great. We can get breakfast tomorrow." He smiles at me and I roll my eyes

"You and I both know you're not getting out of your bed tomorrow."

"Thanks for that." He laughs, "Um, yeah. I'll get the car from you another time. Just don't get a ticket on it. I'm not paying for that."

"I know." I sigh as we get home. I go upstairs and pack everything before I decide on wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans, a sweater, and heels. I send the outfit to Jenny who agrees I look good. I carry my bags into one of his cars and go back inside.

"I'm leaving. I will see you sometime this week or next." I say as we hug

"Sounds good. Just don't do anything stupid Susannah." He sighs

"I won't." I smile before I leave. I pull up to the airport just as Kyle's walking out to try to find me. I pull up and put the car in park before I get out.

"Hey." He smiles as I run over to hug him.

"Hey." I giggle as we kiss before he puts his bags in the car.
