Chapter 46

Susannah's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling completely hungover. I put on one of my bikinis and went outside to get into the hot tub for a bit.

"Hey. Can I join you?" I laugh as I see Tyler sitting there on his phone

"Yeah." He nods, "We just got back from morning skate." He says and I nod as I get in, "How was your night?"

"Fine. Yours?"

"Fine." He mimics, "For real?"

"Yes. And you?"

"It was good. Just got to hang out with my best friends." He shrugs

"Road trip." I giggle trying to make things less awkward.

"I'm going to head to my room to take a shower and relax for a bit." He says after a few minutes of us sitting there in silence.

"Wait, do you want to get food downstairs?" I ask and he laughs

"Look, I'm done with you right now. I just can't deal with everything. Just give me some time and space." He sighs

"Tyler. Last night I cal-"

"I know what you did. I was there. I don't want to keep on being rejected. It hurts." He says as he walks inside

"That's not what I did."

"No. You did. You flat out rejected me even though you admitted you still love me, and now you're confused on why I don't want to spend an afternoon with you? You're so fucking confusing." He rolls his eyes and I groan as he leaves. I get up after a few minutes to take a shower and then get Cassidy to get some food as everyone else was with their boyfriend.

"What do you want to do before the game?" She asks me and I shrug

"Nothing." I laugh

"Alright. Well, let's go shopping or something." She smiles and I nod in agreement as we pay before we leave. Cassidy and I go to the mall where Tyler meets us there as he had nothing better to do. We walk around and a bunch of teenage girls ran up and wanted photos with Tyler.

"Are you still single? Who are these girls?" One of the girls asks Tyler and he laughs a bit as he shakes his head

"This is my sister and her friend." He says before they accept that and run off.

"Her friend?" Cassidy raises an eyebrow

"Try explaining the situation." Tyler mumbles

"We should go back to the hotel." I say, "The bus leaves in an hour."

"Alright." Tyler nods as we go back. We get out of the Uber and go into the Starbucks before heading inside.

"Hey, can we talk for a quick minute?" I ask him

"I'll be in our room." Cassidy says as she goes to one elevator and Tyler looks at me.

"I'm really not in the mood for any of this right now. I'm just done with you. I literally have to go in 30 minutes." He laughs weakly as we go up another elevator

"Tyler." I sigh

"I'm just really frustrated, and I'm not playing well. I don't want to hear about how happy you are with Kyle, and how I need to relax." He says as he unlocks the door to his room.

"Just shut up for like 30 seconds." I laugh and he rolls his eyes, "I was trying to tell you this morning that Kyle and I are on a break right now. I just wanted to hang out with you." I say and he laughs
