Chapter 59

Clarissa's POV
"Alright, you ready?" Jamie asks me as we put our bags into Susannah's car. She was driving us to the airport for our flight to Tampa.

"Yeah." I nod as I hug him. He laughs as he kisses my head before we go back inside.

"Are you two ready?" She asks as she's sitting on the couch texting

"Yes." Jamie replies before she gets up.

"Let's hit it." She smiles before she grabs her keys and we all leave, "You're just going back to Dallas after next week right?"

"Kind of. I have camps and stuff, so I'm stopping in Dallas for a few days to get everything. It's nice to have a few weeks off though." He laughs as we get into the car. We all talk on the drive to the airport before she drops us off.

"I'll see you both in August!" She waves before she drives off.

"Are you ready to go home?" Jamie asks me and I laugh nodding

"Yeah. I want to sleep in my own bed again." I nod

"I know. I know it's not the same, but road trips always kill me. I just want to be home in my bed even though I love what I'm doing."

"Exactly. Alright. I have to check my bags." I laugh as I look at my luggage as we walk inside

"Sounds like a plan." He smiles as we get into the line to check everything. Everything goes through before we go to security and then board the flight as we cut it super close.

"I'm so exhausted." I yawn

"Go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we land." He smiles and I nod as I put my head on his shoulder before I pass out. He wakes me up a while later, "Hey." He smiles

"Hi." I yawn as I sit up and see we've landed, "Let's go." I nod as we get up and get off the flight. We go through customs and I see my parents.

"Mom. Dad." I smile as I hug them tightly

"Hi." Jamie laughs as my mom hugs him and he shakes my dad's hand. We grab our bags before getting into the car for the ride home.

"What are you feeling up to tonight?" Mom asks me

"What do you mean?" I ask

"How tired are you? I have food to make at home, but we can go out."

"I'd rather just stay at home." I laugh

"Sounds good. What are you two up to?" She asks Jamie and I.

"I'm going to practice and hang out with a few guys on the Lightning who I grew up playing junior hockey with tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that." He says

"Yeah, just so I can have some time alone with everyone." I laugh softly as we get to my house. We go inside and drop everything off in my room.

"So, what are the plans for the night?" He asks as he stretches his arms

"My mom's making dinner. We'll eat that, then we can go to the beach or something. It's a 30 minute drive, but we can do it." I laugh softly

"Sounds great. I'm going to take a quick shower." Jamie smiles before raising an eyebrow

"I am not showering with you! Are you insane? At my house? With my parents here?" I nearly whisper scream

"We had sex in my parents' house. I thought it'd be the same thing." He laughs

"Your parents were out with friends. Mine are downstairs!" I laugh as I kiss him, "I love you, but not that much."

"Thanks." He laughs as we kiss again before he goes to the bathroom. I was a little upset that my sister wasn't coming home for a few more weeks, so Jamie wasn't going to be able to meet her. I unpack all of my clothes and sigh as I look around.
