Chapter 35

Susannah's POV

I relaxed at Jamie's house with Kyle over the weekend. We were cuddling on the couch watching the Tampa game.

"Hey. I'm going to go on a quick run. I'm just feeling really sore from my workout this morning." Kyle says as he gets up

"Yeah. I'll order some food." I nod and he kisses my cheek

"Alright. I'll be back in an hour." He kisses me again before he leaves. I look at my phone and see an incoming call from Tyler.

"Hey." I laugh as I pick it up

"Hey. Are you watching the game?" He asks

"Yeah. What's up?" I ask curiously

"Oh nothing. All my friends are playing right now. I'm bored out of my mind." He groans and I laugh

"I glad I'm your last option." I tease

"Sus, you know it's not like that." He laughs

"I know. When do I need to pick you up tomorrow?" I ask

"Around 2. Isn't that when you're getting Clarissa and Jamie as well?"

"Yeah. All of you guys can squeeze and the dogs can be in the front with me."

"That's not going to happen, but okay." He laughs, "Listen to this bullshit. So the airline calls me today, and says I cannot have three first class seats because two of them are for my dogs, and since it's two and two, I won't be able to have proper control over them." He groans, "But they're giving me a half a row in economy. I'm pissed. They're giving me drink vouchers. Do they not know who I am?"

"You've gotten worse since you've been gone." I laugh

"Well because I'm literally doing nothing. I'm bored out of my fucking mind."

"I'm glad you're coming home. I've missed you a lot." I sigh

"Me too." He agrees, "So are you just by yourself watching the game?"

"No. Kyle just left for a run, well so now I'm alone. I'm just watching and talking."

"How are things with Kyle?"

"They're fine. Why are you wondering?" I laugh nervously

"You did almost kiss me before I left." He teases

"Yeah. I was scared you were going to die asshole." I retort

"I mean that's fair." He laughs, "No. I just want to make sure you're happy. You know I'm always going to care about you, and I just wanted to make sure you are the happiest you can be." He says and I sigh as I look up

"I'm fine for now." I say

"For now?"

"Yeah. We'll stay together until he's drafted and the summer. I think we'll break up after that." I say softly

"Alright. Well I'll be there." He says

"Thank you Ty."

"Of course." He laughs, "So on a happier note, how badly do you think Jamie's going to speak tonight?" He asks

"I don't know! I told Clarissa his accent will grow thicker and I don't think she believed me." I giggle

"He's almost 30. Do her parents not have an issue with that?" He asks curiously

"I don't know. I don't think they know how old he is." I laugh

"God. How are they going to say they met? Because him stalking her instagram and thinking she was hot, so he wanted to fuck her probably isn't the best story for parents." He laughs
