Chapter 58

Susannah's POV

I went downstairs around 11 the next morning and saw everyone already up.

"You slept a long time." Jamie laughs as I get some coffee

"No. I've been up a while." I sigh, "Can we talk outside?" I ask him

"Yeah." He nods as we go out to the pool area and I sit on one of the lounge chairs. He sits down across from me, "Is everything okay?"

"Why did you ask those questions last night?" I ask

"About what?"

"Tyler and I."

"I don't know. I was curious. I knew I'd get the answers out of you." He laughs

"I'm trying to move on." I sigh, "Why did you need to know?"

"It's nothing. I was curious, so I asked. Don't overanalyze this."

"That's the problem. Later Tyler called me." I say, "I know he's dating Mia King. Is that why you were curious?"

"Yeah." He nods, "I don't want either of you to screw each other up. I know where he is, and I wanted to know where you are too."

"Stay out of our relationship Jamie. We're adults." I say

"Barely."

"Whatever. We're adults, and we will figure this shit out. Stay out of it. I don't annoy you and Clarissa about you two."

"Yeah, because we're not dramatic."

"I don't care. Stay out of my shit, or I'll get involved in yours."

"Whatever." He sighs as we walk back in and we all sit down at the table

"So, what are our plans for today?" Jenny asks

"Jordie, I, and some of the Stars are going to skate around and play for a few hours. You girls can do whatever. We should leave now." Jamie tells Jordie and they get up to go.

"Have they been fighting a lot?" Jenny asks Clarissa

"Who?" She asks

"Kind of. He's so protective of me." I groan laughing, "Like just a few big fights, but it's not always super tense."

"Yeah. He's really worried she's going to fuck up." Clarissa agrees and I nod, "It's only because he feels responsible for her since your parents are in a whole other country."

"I'll talk to him kindly later." I say as Jenny gives me a look

"Good. Alright. What are you two planning on doing today?" She asks

"I need to study for exams. Can I have a few hours? You can just have relaxation time." I laugh

"Yes. I need that. I love Henry, but he's a mess." She sighs

"I'll study too." Clarissa smiles as we go to the dining room to lay all of our stuff out. We study for a few hours before Jamie and Jordie come back

"Hey. We're all going out for lunch. I just need to take a shower." Jamie tells us as he kisses Clarissa's head.

"Sounds good." She nods and I smile in agreement. They all get ready before we leave.

"What are you feeling up to?" Jordie asks me as we get into the car

"What do you mean?" I ask

"Are you ready to come home?"

"Yeah." I nod smiling
